Annika is the wayward middle child of the bug kingdom royal family. She does NOT want anything to do with her annoying parents or boring siblings!!! All she wants to do is be fashionable and look at rocks and kiss girls
She's based on a Saturniid of some kind but I forget which one, oops! And there is no special symbolism to her name tbh I just like it :^)
