Mi's a free-spirited runaway, drifting wherever their scooter takes them, with all their worldly belongings stuffed in a sack. They recently arrived in the city shortly after the Planet's Tears began appearing. Mi has a short-tempered and hyperactive side, sometimes lacking a verbal filter. They're still figuring out a lot about who they are, who they want to be, and who to let into their life.
They met Ann shortly after arriving in the city. They became a regular at the donut shop Ann works at, giving them a lot of time to talk and get to know each other. After becoming fast friends, Ann let Mi stay at her place for the foreseeable future. They bond over video games and movies, and sometimes Mi drags Ann out to explore the city late at night.
Mi is exceptionally introspective. They're very self-conscious of how they're viewed by other people, and what they want that to mean when looking inwards. They've gotten far enough to disagree with their assigned gender at birth, though they may not be as finished with this journey as they think.
By day, they're just Mi- kind of a weirdo, kind of aloof, but always around. By night, they're a vigilante, keeping the peace against any of the Planet's Tears that have been going berserk. After all this time, they've become a little disillusioned about what they're doing. That said, even if they can be a little frustrating at times, there's something strangely hypnotic about the Planet's Tears, drifting across the sky...
The city isn't unfamiliar to Mi, despite appearing as though this is their first time here.
Growing up, Mi lived in the suburban parts of the state and would visit the city with family on occasion. Living with their sister, TZ, and their parents, they lived a relatively normal if not strained childhood together until it was cut short by a freak-accident housefire.
TZ saved Mi from the housefire first- an action that cost her TZ her arm due to very severe burns. TZ ran back inside to check on their parents after saving Mi- but never came back out. Mi went on the run after this, living on their own from town to town as they continued further away from their now destroyed home. They travelled alone for 8 years- but, at some point, turned back around towards the city.
Mi's overall mental state and innermost desires results in a strong connection to Creation, now awakening due in reaction to the Planet's Tears phenomenon. Their right arm, the same arm that TZ lost in the housefire, is a very vulnerable outlet for Creation. This use of their powers alters their physical form slightly- perhaps to reflect how they view themselves. The fact that it does this at all, of course, is only a glimpse into what one who can channel and augment Creation is capable of.
However, they can involuntarily manifest "fake" objects and, more dangerously, people, based on their memories and subconscious desires. This feeds into dysphoria and otherwise fragile memories, which in turn fuel back the desires they then make manifest. This connection also means that their extreme emotions can affect other things closely connected to Creation, such as the Planet's Tears, turning otherwise docile creatures violent and destructive- sometimes even more than they already were.
