Intro
Garad has dedicated his life to serving and protecting A'Gale as her personal guard. He is a revered knight who has helped restore Lumin Enclave to its former glory, and is known for his humble nature and dedication to the crown. He is often responsible for the guards in the immediate palace, and often assists in training new recruits. He dedicates his entire being to his duties, and lacks any sort of personal life for himself.

Garad does not have the personality of a typical knight or soldier. He is far more calm and softhearted in nature than most, even though the power he has is visible in his stature alone. He is humble and loyal, and has dedicated his life to serving the Founders of Lumin Enclave since he was young. He tends to spoil those who he is close to, and will go out of his way to help them. His considerate nature makes him popular with children and people of all backgrounds.

Summary
Garad grew up as an orphan of war, back when Lumin was under a tyrannical rule. He traveled with the refugees to the nearby kingdom, and grew up with many other orphans in settlements where he learned how to fight and survive. He tried his best to hold onto what he knew of his family's heritage, but in the end the only thing that was really important to him was reclaiming the land that was taken from them.
During this time he became a caretaker, much like how others had taken care of him. Life was hard. Basic needs were often scarce, and monsters from the lands poisoned by warkind magic were picking off the most vulnerable of people. He recognized, along with the former royalty, that the only way to overcome these times was to grow stronger, and take care of one another regardless of who they were.
He was quick to become a soldier, and eventually a knight when his skills and compassion were recognized by A'Gale, former Princess of Lumin. She happened to remember his family, and told him what she remembered of his parents, who were close allies with her own parents. They were quick to build a friendship outside of their duties to the people of Lumin, and it didn't take long for A'Gale to make him an offer he couldn't deny. She proposed that if he continued to fight with her to reclaim the crown that she would provide him a life where he would never be left wanting.
Truthfully, the promise of royalties hardly mattered to Garad, but he made a vow to serve her and the broken kingdom. It took many years, but eventually when A'Gale returned to the throne, he could not bring himself to retire. Instead, he stayed a loyal servant and protector of the people, and dedicated his time and life to rebuilding the kingdom to its former glory.
