Extended BIO:

Astrid, aka "Ash", was thrown into the Undead Asylum like any other Undead under Gywn's rule. She hailed from Catarina, but ventured too far out of her city to be swept up and taken away. However, she was given an opportunity to escape by an unknown knight, where she gadly took the opportunity and escaped, fending off the powerful Asylum Demon and running off to Lordan, an unknown land.

Ash did as she was told by others, venturing high and low to ring the Bells of Awkening, fighting through the perilous Sen's Fortress and arriving in the grand city of Anor Londo, all with an odd pep in her step. During these ventures, she always made visits down to Blighttown to master her pyromancy by many mentors. One, per first mentor, went hollow in that very swamp and she was forced to slay him. While on a venture back up to the surface, she found another pyromancer in distress and trying to make it to Firelink, but got trapped. Ash saves her and immediately falls for the fellow pyromancer's quiet but kind charm. They venture together from then on.

In Anor Londo, while navigating the palace, she meets a sly thief who attempted to steal her treasure. She quickly disarmed him, but found a friend once they sat by the bonfire and talked. The trio arrive at the dreaded Orienstien and Smough, where they fight for what feels like ages before the dangerous duo falls. As a trophy for such an achievement, Ash dons the armor of Orienstien himself, so all undead may know she slayed the last remaining knight of Gywn himself.

Ash and her friends fought on, eventually retrieving all the souls of ancient Lords. With her friends and a familiar Sunlight Warrior in tow, they all slay the Black Knights leading up to the Lord of Sunlight himself, Gywn. Afterwards, Ash sacrifices herself for the flame, allowing it to burn her skin to ash and become kindling for it's reign, becoming the first soul for a future lord.
