Gunther and Hermes have a unique relationship that's supremely sibling-like in it's energy. Hermes is a jock and Gunther is clearly a nerd, and so their interactions are a bizarre mix of Hermes bullying Gunther, Gunther getting exasperated, Hermes not understanding what Gunther is talking about, and Gunther sighing deeply as Hermes hands him a kobold. In spite of this, Gunther worries about Hermes' recklessness about as much as he is frustrated by his obtuseness, and does his best to assist him when he can.

When Gunther sees Chrys approaching, he knows he's gonna get sassed. She constantly calls him 'nerd', harrasses him about how many books he's read that day, and generally gives him a hard time. Though she never lets him have a moments rest, he has a sneaking suspicion she just likes being a menace, and that she's got a good heart underneath it all. Gunther worries a bit about Chrys biting off more than she can chew, and tries to check in with her as she explores the wide world outside her noble upbringing.

After Gunther accepted a position as Fallthra's assistant, he assumed he'd be grading papers and helping with lessons. He never expected that it would result in his life taking an extremely weird sideways turn where he would become liason to a rowdy air genasi, get kidnapped in a trial for a band of adventurers he worries endlessly over, attend a highly illegal fighting tournament, and briefly be haunted by a cursed doll. Gunther knows Fallthra's weirdness knows no bounds, and he's generally trusting of her strange machinations even if they throw him for a loop almost every single day.
