Landis is a guarded, taciturn man hardened by the world around him into ruthless practicality. Sole guardian of an intractable, terminally ill younger brother, he spent years dredging money out of the Wastelands for medical treatments. Extraordinary luck led him to casino owner and infamous shapeshifter Sid Blackburn. The construct offered a miraculous (if ongoing) stabilization of his ward's illness, as close as anyone could get to a cure.
In time, Sid offered other things too.
Medicine, employment, regular meals and clean water - these formed the price of his absolute loyalty. No task is too dirty to secure the needs of a growing business. If Sid is an attraction of Saltspire's casino, charismatic and glittering, then Landis is the fate of cheats, liars, and those whose funds inevitably ran out.
design notes
- hair can be depicted up or down, he wears it both ways
- usually looks either irritated or exhausted
- don't feel compelled to be accurate about the big tat on his arm, an artistic scribble will do just fine. alternatively, slap long sleeves on him
- that's a gun harness, not suspenders
- the tats go under the clothes but i haven't figured out the design yet, don't draw him shirtless and we don't have to worry about it
