Nov 4, 20. Pilgrim was part of a 'breeding program' by some kidnapper psycho who kept people in his basement. The goal was to make a slave species that one could keep without having to worry about containing them, as escaping would be a death sentence in itself. To do this, species were combined to make the illegal or highly undesirable outcomes. In this case, a regular Satyr plus a Watyr-tread Beholder. However, the kidnapper decided he didn't look "bad" enough and he was kind of tossed aside (but not released, mind you). He spent most of his life in the house, but finally decided to risk trying to flag someone down. Somebody on the outside broke a window for him and he escaped that way. With little time to work with, he wanted to find someone who could help him free his "family" that was still trapped. However, due to his upbringing, he didn't really know how police worked. Thus, he just approached people until somebody would listen to him. He ended up finding Pepper, who sicced all of her nearby family members on the house as well as offered shelter for Pilgrim and his relatives. Pilgrim, having not been exposed to much kindness at all in his lifespan, very swiftly developed a major crush on her and discovered he was totally touch-starved. He super blundered through this, as it was another thing he didn't know what to do about. It worked out though, she found it endearing
He's often called 'Blue' for,, obvious reasons. It's also his favorite color (which is good)
