some ideas i came up with drawing her

Kaz is a sky elf
she fell in love with a human, but he broke her heart when he managed to seduce an even more rare and beautiful mystical being, she realized she was just a prize to brag about.
after this she sank into a deep depression and her vibrant hair and plumage faded to a dull grey, she was shunned by the other elves
Determined to regain her beauty (she was still pretty ofc but to the elves, vibrant colors are the most important thing) she went to find a witch that lived deep in a cave.
The witch agreed to give her colors back in return for just a few strands of elven hair, but it would come at a terrible price. Kaz didn't know what it was but agreed all the same.
The colors will never fade again but any time she loves someone (friends, family, romance) they'll die
This is worth it to her seeing as in her culture beauty is valued above friendship and family.
Then one day she meets someone that she actually really likes (maybe a selkie) she actually really doesn't want this person to die
she goes back to the witch and begs her to remove the curse, the witch agrees but the color will be gone forever (before the magic she would have gotten it back had she become un-depressed)
It's a very hard decision seeing as most of the sky elves would rather watch the world burn then sacrifice their colors but she ends up deciding to do that so she can be with the person
