The second oldest, along side his twin Valeska, of the Kostenkos. AJ was turned after a hunt went bad, not too long after his family moved to North America. He's going on 20 years of being a vampire, and he's taking it... okay. He struggles with feeling like he's not as good as he should be, and feeling sick when he finds himself enjoying parts of being undead. On top of that, he's aware that his twin sister is trying to hunt him down and kill him- and while he begged her to when he first turned, he's not entirely certain he wants to die any more.

He tries his best to take in other wayward vampires and help give them guidance, because he was robbed of the support. He doesn't understand the politics that might go into all of it, but he does understand the confusion and hurt it brings to be turned and left alone.

Currently he finds himself living in St. John's, Newfoundland, CA. He's comfortable, but ready to leave if he has to.
