Thora Leeper, 16, Stormy Weather
Thora Leeper is new in town and is adjusting to her fifth school in two years. Usually reluctant to make new friends to only have to leave them, Thora found herself attracted to "odd girl" Eden Zieliński, promptly becoming fast friends and maybe something more.
Thora and Eden spend time together after school in their base, the shed in Murphy's Woods behind Eden's house, and work together to make fanfic and fanart of their favorite series, Xanthine's Academy for the Gifted and Strange (XAGS).
Thora wants to be a comic artist or animator, and has visited several far-flung art colleges already. However, now that she's with Eden, she hopes maybe they can go to college together.
Thora carries sketchbooks, her tablet, and drawing utensils with her in her purse, doodling and storyboarding ideas as they come to her. She has a small following on Zumblr for her works.
Her knack is most obvious when Thora's emotions run high: rain when sad, thunder and lightning when angry, etc. Despite this, Thora has mastered the art of "surface apathy" and only lets her knack run wild when with her family and her new friend. Thora isn't too concerned about anyone normal finding her knack out. She has accepted who she is and it's not her fault if others can't adjust.
Thora's parents often move for work but Thora has decided that this time, she will stay behind even if they move again, especially now that she has found a special someone.
