Mistlewing (mistlepaw (wcl))

Mistlepaw is a medium-furred light beige she-cat with brown markings of various shades. Her ears and back are a darker shade of brown compared to her flank and face, and she has minimal tabby-like stripes on her head and chest. She has a dull reddish-brown streak along her nose bridge.

Mistlepaw's most distinctive feature is her bobbed tail, followed closely by her rounded ears. She is almost never seen without her favourite dusty pink flowers in her pelt, and she takes care to fix their positions throughout the day. She is small in stature for her age, and is built stoutly and sturdily with what most would describe as short legs. Her pelt has a tendency to fluff upwards and outwards, making her appear fluffier than she is.

Mistlepaw has upturned robin-blue eyes that are gentle in nature, always containing a sparkle of mirth or mischief.

Mistlepaw is, first and foremost, an optimist. She sees the best in everything and everyone, and always gives the benefit of the doubt. However, whether she does this in spite of knowing the worse options or not is up for debate. Despite first impressions, Mistlepaw is a rather dense and immature cat. She is mischievous and talkative, and not always able to read the room or take the hint. Although she has good intentions, her tendency to blabber away without taking social cues and her insistence on her positive outlook can easily become an annoyance to her conversation partners. Therefore, her optimism is a double-edged blade; while it does make her rather amiable and easy to befriend, she also is not the best cat to go to when in need of sincere advice or support. Nobody—not even she—knows if her unending optimism spawns from naivety or willful ignorance, and until she is able to confront her own psyche, her ever-cheerful personality is here to stay.

Other than her brightness, Mistlepaw is best defined by her self-assuredness and intuition, as well as her surprising impersonality. Mistlepaw thrives on impulse and quick-thinking, and is confident in her abilities. Her sharp instincts and keen senses protect her well despite her denseness in non-social situations... still, there is no doubt that her skills most certainly need some polishing. Lastly, Mistlepaw prefers to keep her cards close to her heart. She may not look the secretive type due to her loquaciousness, but you'll find that a lot of her speech is meaningless and unopinionated small talk. Mistlepaw is not a pushover by any means, but combined with her iron-willed optimism, many find it difficult to sense if and when she is being genuine at any given moment. Due to this, Mistlepaw has trouble making deep connections with others, usually having a thinly spread, surface-level social network.

Although in general, Mistlepaw doesn't seem to care too much about what others think of her due to her natural self-belief, she does still strive for external validation. Precisely because she has so much assurance regarding her skills, she can't stand to be underestimated or ignored. Whether this trait of her breaks through into the territory of arrogance or will be tamed into humble confidence is yet to be determined.

Mistlepaw was found in ThunderClan territory as a young kit. Despite only being about a moon or two old, she didn't seem too fazed by her situation. She didn't even put up much of a fuss when, after some discussion, a few ThunderClan warriors picked her up by the scruff and brought her to their intimidating leader. It was as if she felt right at home wherever she was, and although she couldn't understand it at the time, those who saw her would often comment on or lightheartedly joke about how she seemed to have no thoughts in her head. After being given her name, she was given to a willing queen who nursed and fostered her, and from there on she grew up without much trouble.

Mistlekit always seemed to get along with her foster siblings and nursery denmates just fine, but after some time, it became clear that some or most of them felt a bit of inexplicable distance from her, including the queens. She quickly became well-spoken to match her sociable and cheerful personality, yes... but for all she spoke, it never really seemed like she said anything. Thus, she graduated kithood and began her apprenticehood having made many acquaintances and playmates in the Clan, yet without a single "true" friend. Still, this didn't seem to bother her much, and she seemed happy to trailblaze her own path, just as long as she had a few cats to gossip with at all times.
