Rez

[ ORIGIN ]

One's teenage years could be a stressful and upsetting time, and the same could certainly be said for one mild-mannered, rebellious teen by the name of Rez O'hara. As the end of her Junior year approached, she became gradually less aware of things and number to the fact that her grades were starting to plummet and her room as well as her bookbag were getting out of order.

Unfortunate for her, the freshly-killed demonic contagion, Fenrir, was seeking out a host one fateful night that she was in a particularly bad funk. It was all a matter of bad timing; she was lacking the will to deflect the infection, and it attached itself to he. They fought constantly, tearing deep into Rez's mental state. Weak-minded at the time or not, however, Rez was stubborn and refused to let theis thing take her body from her.
The torture had gone on for a month or so. She was actually quite close to turning to a monster, but her parents happened to notice her behaviors, and things just weren't gonna go undealt with after immense, sharp teeth grew from the side of Rez's face. An exorcist was called in, and within a few hours, Fenrir was banished from her body. Banished, but not destroyed.

Though this stage of pain had ended, the mutation of teeth and mental trauma remained. It didn't help any that the mutation managed to violently drop her self-esteem.

The whole experience caused her to resent demons, and she soon become a hunter. A year or so went by after she finished highschool, most of her time spent cramming knowledge of hunting demons and monsters. Gathering the necessary supplies, she forged her own weapon, and began her new career. The first demons she slayed manifested into a contagion and was sealed within her weapon to serve as an upgrade, albeit sloppily, but only due to it being a temporary seal until she had learned to make better ones. Ever since, it has been her weapon.

Her entire occupation is set on the goal that she would find and destroy Fenrir to exact her revenge. Somewhere along the way, whilst battling it out with a monster, Rez meets Vera Keir, a metahuman who developed a distinct and unfamiliar attachment to her. She unintentioally befriends her, and Rez is eventually lead into a partnership.

• Rez is slightly unhinged, but it isn't really noticeable until she gets into a heated battle. She's very independent and is quick to question morality, but displays a laid back and careless, yet grumpy attitude. She has very little regard for her own safety.
• Rez is actually quite emotional. She has a hard time keeping from crying in multiple situations, but won't allow anyone to see, hiding her face from sight and maintaining the stability of her voice rather skillfully. 
• Rez's hair color change was one of the side effects resulting of her possession. 
• Rez becomes frightened in the presence of wolves. She isn't particularly afraid of the creatures themselves, but rather the concept of being like them. 
• Rez acts a lot like she dislikes and is irritated by Vera, but actually craves her company. She finds her cryptic and strange, but she's drawn to her, as she's one of the only people who has shown interest in sticking by her and doesn't fear her teeth. They eventually, unspokenly, become lovers.
