A nameless, formless spirit wandered through Terramesian forests thick with rime, only to find the lifeless body of a once-living being fallen in the snow. Curious, the spectre drew nearer, inspecting the corpse a bit too closely; the spirit became locked in, unable to withdraw from the tangible form, now stuck in a stranger's body.
Wight was once a spirit-- or ghost, or spectre, or phantom-- whatever one might believe him to have been. Upon finding a corpse hidden in the snow, he found himself now bound to the land of the living, in a body that did not originally belong to him. Wight must now cope with the reality of existing in a body that is not his, and in a world he is not used to; he spends his days trying to find answers about who the body used to belong to, and what happened to them.

In trying to found out the mysteries of his body's past, Wight sought out the necromancer Mortis for help, and the two became swift allies.
Wight once made his way into a strange shop full of oddities, one oddity being the shop owner himself-- Curio. Not long after meeting, Wight found Curio highly interested in his story, and Curio's fascination with Wight led to a swift, albeit unusual, friendship.
Wight and Xyston crossed paths when Wight first discovered the Azure Palace hub. Though they did not quite wind up as friends, Xyston believes it is part of his duty as a Paladin to help the less fortunate, and-- in Wight's case-- help a lost soul find its way.
