Alecksander never seemed to have a good idea on whether or not he was danger; he grew up reckless and constantly putting himself in a protector role (especially when it came to little Sonia getting picked on) and, despite his current demeanor, he wasn't the type to back down from a fight. And he wouldn't just throw himself into danger only for people, no, that behavior extended to Pokemon as well. His current partner Pokemon, Cora, grew attached to him after he saved her as a little Rookidee.

Alecks realized very quickly that, while Leon and Sonia would become Pokemon trainers and take on the gym challenge, he wasn't made for anything like that. What he wanted was to become a Pokemon Ranger; and that's exactly what he did. He started ranger school as a young man and has been a full fledged ranger for well over a decade now, taking on Emille as his trainee and, eventually, his partner when he was 15. And despite losing his left arm in a tragic accident during one of their missions, he's still extremely dedicated to his work.
