Altair

Rubi's dad, he's a politician in their hometown, and a mage. He wanted her to follow his career, but she didn't. They don't have a good relationship, and they haven't spoke since she left town. He and her mother divorced when she was a small child. 

He's got a very austere personality, and was never very affectionate. Both him and his daughter are too proud to admit any mistakes and contact each other.
