Arlo is a playboy. He flirts with any girl who will give him the time of day and never gets into anything too serious. He has a hard time talking about feelings or personal issues. He alternates living between his two divorced humans. He prefers his time with the ex-husband, an overworked factory employee. The ex-wife remarried a man with many children who disrespect Arlo's personal space. He tolerates them tugging his ears and climbing on him but their noise sends him running. When he needs some peace and quiet Arlo will take his rope and sleep in the bathtub.

Arlo can be found in different alley races all over Seattle, depending on which owner he's staying with at the time. He sees Nettle as his main competition but his hectic living situation and erratic schedule prevent him from climbing up the racing ranks. He has an interest in Nettle but it is not reciprocated.
