Vesion

  The illusionary proctor of an unbeatable 'kobayashi maru' style test of will and purity, Vesion uses his abilities to guard an ancient temple filled with unimaginable power. A sacred ground once revered by some as a bastion of strength and light against darkness, it has always secretly stood as a prison for those who would threaten this world.

History

Though  of a race often associated with trickery and guile, Vesion has always been on the lighter side of the law. He enjoys playing pranks and coaxing a laugh but has very strict morals about what is considered right or wrong. When Elusi rings were being targeted by the enigmatic villain Marcain and his counterparts, many of their kind came together against the foe. Marcain escaped the encounters, but the Damur and Caprilya who he employed were not so lucky. The Damur was given to the temple for his crimes, imprisoned without a food source for the rest of his days. The Capri was offered a second chance, rebirth and forget her involvement in this tragedy. While allies and family lost their life to Marcain, Vesion was chosen to replace the previous Oathguard, giving up his freedom to ensure other's. He spends the majority of his time lounging around the temple's grounds or offering visitors a tour of the ground floor. Occasionally he steals away to the village nearby for a drink and an interesting glimpse into the daily lives of the persons there.

Luce | One of Marcain's former minions. The unlikely guardian of the Capri's second life, Vesion has watched over her since he passed down the ultimatum of 'rebirth or die'. Vesion considers her a younger sister and his closest confidant, even while he has many secrets that he has managed to keep from her.

Yvette | Vesion finds the younger Elusi charming and lovely, and is delighted to have been her mentor into their shared world. Each step forward she takes makes him proud to support her. Also one of his younger sisters.

Allurel | His first love, and his first heartbreak. This tricksy Elusi stole his heart and left into the night before he could cement their bond....if they even had one. ♦Extra♦

♦ He likes to impersonate people he sees, as if they were characters in a story. He's touched many lives without them noticing.

♦ The test he offers is a both a ruse to cover up the prison, and also a way to find the next Oathguard. And while anyone is welcome to attempt it, no one has passed.

♦ The temple's Heart, Ral'ec, cannot imprison or hold those who are not guilty.

♦ Vesion has never been inside the Heart, as it is meant to keep out the impure and he doesn't quite pass muster...

♦ Aside from the Damur he put there himself, he has no idea what he is guarding.
