Henri Kennedy took to wandering at a young age following some... unfortunate events in her childhood. She also took to wandering in adulthood, but in a much more professional capacity and at a much grander scale; while as a teenager she would travel the planet she grew up on (and even eventually check out the ones she didn't grow up on), Henri would ultimately go on to leave her solar system entirely, going beyond the manmade "safe perimeter" of the galaxy for various forays into the dangerous space beyond.
Despite leading what some might consider an unfortunate life, Henri is an outwardly relaxed and pleasant lady. Because some people mistake her easygoing nature as laziness, there's some confusion as to why she was made a Captain in the Voyager corps, but it can't be said that she doesn't take the position seriously. After all, for all the dangers of her profession, the only member of Henri's crew to have died on duty has been Henri herself.

FEAR NO TRIAL. When people talk to her, Henri hears what they would say if they were being honest. The truth comes to her in the form of a whisper. This ability basically works as a sort of conditional mind-reading.
EYE OF THE BEHOLDER. When Henri makes eye contact with someone, she can see things from their perspective. Not only does this let her see what they see, but she can— to some degree— share in their feelings and thoughts. With training, Henri has learned to also take in their reactions, enabling her to mimic the actions of the person she's beholding.
SHE KNOWS MAGIC. She knows magic. She's not very good at magic, but she knows it. Most notably, Henri can fly, slowly heal her own wounds, form passable forcefields... You know, the basic stuff! You can't go to space without knowing magic.
SHE ALSO KNOWS NOT-MAGIC. Henri is an adept pilot and marksman, and she has... some combat training, I guess. That also comes with the job.
