Colin

Colin is the boss of a merry band of scientists on Krios. Their main goal is to research and study the different organisms in the new, strange planet they see. Also to work to sustain the crew in the difficult environments. Their work is neverending keeps Colin and his scientists very busy.

Colin's personal life, however, is not very known, and considering his brilliancy, enthusiasm and curiosity towards his work, many theorize that he doesn’t have much of a personal life and he just spends all his waking hours in the lab buried in woek. Actually, he's quite a homebody anyway rather spending his freetime wrapped in blankets and watching movies than going out so it's not really a surprise people think that. He escpecially enjoys long lazy mornings and retro movie marathons either alone or in the good company.

As someone who grew up in the colonies he's used to hard work. His parents were botanists aiming to improve the farms in the difficult environment and he sort of was driven to do something similar.
During the intergalactic war, he was working for the other parties in smaller colony at the edge of the known universe. and didn’t really participate in the war itself. He says he likes to keep his hands as clean as possible when it comes to politics. He’s a scientist after all, and science itself is always a neutral thing.

Colin is focused and hardworking, dutiful and loyal. He loves his job and loves the discovery and study. He enjoys long braching conversations about anything, especially with someone who has a different view than him. It'd teach them both and lead all to be slightly more open-minded. His enthusiams towards his works is admirable and keeps the morale high pretty effortlessly. Though being usually extremely encouraging towards his peers he tends to require perfection of himself. It tires him sometimes, and he's trying to learn out of it with varying success.

Though being a chatty and generally quite a people person, he feels awkward about socializing not always quite knowing what to say or how to act. He also has some trouble approaching people without coming of too strong or just plain weird. When he's comfortable, he can talk and listen for hours and almost about anything he finds interesting. It is sometimes little bit hard to follow his train of thought though since he tends to change the subject in the middle of the sentence and go back to the original subjects in some other part of the conversation.

If he's not comfortable, he usually tries to just stay on familair subjects like work. Maybe that's why it's sometimes little bit hard to get to know him.
