Skills;
- Candlemaking; Avner's family has been making artesanal candles for generations and have finally set up a shop in America. As such, he's been making candles since he was old enough to follow safety rules.
- High Endurance; Avner is rather athletic! He mostly does hiking and mountain climbing, and it's given him both high stamina and high endurance. He's not the fastest but my god will he not stop.
- Trilingual; Avner speaks Yiddish, Hebrew, and English (learned in that order). He also knows bits of Finnish thanks to Sini.
Powers;
- Windwalker; Avner can actually "walk" on air by guiding air currents under his feet to hold him up. He can't easily guide the air like this and can only "catch" the current to walk on it.
- Redirection; Avner can redirect air currents to blast at full-strength at something/one. This takes a decent amount of concentration as it's difficult to change air currents once they're in motion.
- Spells; Avner can use spell components and enchanted items to initiate magic.

Design Notes;
- Avner is tall! He's 6'4" and weighs about 170 lb.
- Avner's black/Arabic. He was born on Israel with both parents being Jewish but from different areas.
- Avner tends to dress in long sleeves. Lots of sweaters/sweatervests and hoodies and button-ups.
- Avner has some minor vitiligo, mostly on his back and arms. The vitiligo on his back is in the shape of wings. The patches on his arm have no real rhyme or reason.
- He also has freckles! It's kind of hard to see against his skin but they're spread throughout his body.
- Avner tends to keep his hair cut short! His hair gets kind of unmanageable when grown out.
- Avner is like… kind of built? He's tall, yes, but he's also got the muscle to back it up. So like… under the hoodies and long sleeves… muscle.
- Avner likes to look nice when he dresses and is very careful about the shoes he wears and takes care of them. He likes having matching shoes for varying outfits.
Trivia;
- Avner is the first witch in his family for two generations. His family's witch lineage had always been relatively consistent and "healthy" which took a huge plunge after the Holocaust, where he lost a ton of family, as the Ezras originally lived in the Germany/Poland area. Avner's Nonna, Rivkah, was born in 1935––she and her mother escaped Germany shortly after, hiding out the war, and emigrated to Israel immediately after. These Ezras have lived there since.
- Avner's mother and father were planning to emigrate to the U.S. when Avner was born. As such, to continue with plans, his father emigrated when Avner was 7 and Tova had just been born. Avner doesn't really know his father and very early on helped take care of Tova. Avner feels… a little bitterness towards his dad that he keeps to himself.
- The Ezras immigrated to the U.S. when Avner was 14, 7 years after his father left. They own and run the Flicker: Artesanal Candles.
- Avner likes getting out of the house! He doesn't really like staying cooped up and will be out whenever he can. Often, he walks, hikes, or picks up and does shopping with Tova after school.
- Avner doesn't really work in Flicker but he does help make some of the general candles sold in the front.
- Avner has! A lot of anxiety. He gets very caught up in the "what-if"s and it can… shut down his brain sometimes. He also can get overwhelmed in new settings very easily, especially if he's not given the time to mentally and emotionally prep for these new surroundings.
- Flicker candles are special as they're candles that can be used as spell components or for rituals or ceremonies. Avner, Tova, and their Nonna are the only one's who know/think that, Tova out of an active imagination and Nonna and Avner out of ltieral supernatural knowing.
- Avner… does not have a lot of friends. He's content to play with his sister and pets and talk to classmates every-so-often, but he's… lonely. He doesn't really know how to connect to people in America and has sort of given up trying?
- Avner has known he's queer most of his life! His parents were always very open and accepting about it, so he never had any fear of that and had a lot of knowledge about the LGBTQ+ community for most of his life. So he dated a handful of people in middle school before moving.
