Eko

Eko is a wizard, who due to some unfortunate circumstances and morbid curiosity, got himself into a bit of trouble with the laws of magic. He was taken from his time, and is now trapped within the will of the universe. He phases into existence on different planes, times, locations, and cannot control where, when, or how long he stays there. It can be anywhere from a few hours to years. The best he can do is make the most of his time while he is there. Eko made a deal with a demon to help him control his magic in this chaos and make the most of his time in each place he's brought to. It's a relief to have a constant companion brought with him to each place and ease his aching loneliness, not that he lets on at least.

Eko runs an inn, where he gets all sorts of clientele. The inn itself is an illusion created by himself and the demon, so that it can be moved from place to place.

His favorite part of his in his is gambling hall, which specializes in mahjong. This is where his clients gamble away their fortunes and desires for a way to conquer their fears or achieve their goals. A winner is able to take home a magic item enchanted by yours truly (Eko). Eko knows that human weakness stems from desires and fears, and he believes that life isn't fun unless it's pushed to his limits. If people are too afraid to indulge, he gives them an opportunity to do so, but the clock is always ticking and an opportunity cannot be wasted, because he may not be there for long.

No matter where Eko goes, rumors spread about him. He's been called many things, and accurate or not, it brings the customers in, and the right people are always able to find his inn when in need. Despite this free publicity, Eko hates premature judgements on people. He thinks he's good at reading people in a short amount of time, however.

Despite his many travels, Eko hates change and the passage of time. He can be quite stubborn and locks himself up in his own little world of addictions. He is blunt with his clients, brutally so, and can be rather snippy and short at times after putting so much energy into aiding so many people and getting little in return, but he always keeps his personal torments to himself. He is indulgent but is aware of addiction ruining lives. He is timeless and clings to the past. He is sentimental but detached from all he holds dear. Eko acts on impulse and calls it 'wisdom.' And despite any miseries, deeply wants to have fun. 

He believes that it is healthiest to hear the truth of the matter when all else fails. He's all for fantasy until he gets to the point of delusion.
