Fake

Fake's life before his most recent contract is inconsequential. Fake, despite what the name suggestions, can be very dedicated to his contracts, or else he would not sign them if he does not see himself reaping any joy from them. First and foremost, Fake values pleasure, and he does not mourn the past or what could have been. He fully lives in the present. 

With his newest contract, he now aids a bewitching wizard, Eko, who hides his sadness in his magic, and Fake is intrigued by him and wishes to feed his own powers into this strange wizard's dreams. Fake can be apathetic to the human condition, but he is also intrigued by deep human desires and fears. His goals seem to align with Eko's. For people to become themselves and seek pleasures, and sometimes they need to be forced into it. 

Fake creates illusions. He can show someone what they most want to see. He'll pleasure you with images to make you feel better, and then suddenly drop the illusion; what happens next is not up to him. In dire situations, Fake can also create nightmares, but he is not particularly cruel to humans. He simply wants them to realize the power he has over them and to influence them to take control of their own lives.

Fake works as Eko's bartender in Eko's gambling hall. Despite his abnormal appearance often evoking fear in others, people seem to be able to open up around him. And as a bartender, he feels inclined to listen.
