Very gruff and anti-social when he was young, and still hasn't gotten rid of the first thing. He didn't have many friends as a child as he had quite a bad temper, but he opened up to Helio after a while. He's still quite serious most of the time, but can focus on what has to be done and restrain his own hatred for a better good. Deep down, he just wants to be recognized as an equal. Most of the members of the guild either feel intimidated by him, but he does his best to help them as much as he can if necessary; he's not a bad leader.
Profile
Currently one of the two guildmasters of Melantha Guild along with his lifelong rival, Etelka. He's an experienced ice mage.
Though he greatly admired the legends about Frieda since he was little, he always thought the fame Etelka was getting from her ancestor was undeserving, since she hadn't accomplished anything by herself yet. Because of this, he ended up growing a strong jealousy towards her. Why was it that even if he worked as hard as he could, to reach someday the same level as that great warrior, he was still overshadowed by Frieda's descendant? Even after he managed to capture and make a pact with fabled magic birds of the area, it wasn't enough.
After Glacier became unhabitable due to the Great Disaster of Glacier, he started living with his grandfather, who was the driver of the evacuation transport he and Etelka had escaped in. The adults who praised Frieda's descendant weren't there anymore, so he and Etelka were on equal footing. Now, there was nobody who could stop him from proving himself worth. Time passed, and Rayner grew to be very strong and skilled. After his grandfather's death, he kept investigating a theory he had been delving into: the possibility that the disaster and Frieda's powers were related. After many adventures, he ended up helping Etelka set a guild for adventurers, to accomplish their shared goal.
He and Etelka are currently on a long trip, following the tracks of Amarok's mace, Frieda's weapon, in the now frozen and abandoned lands of Glacier.
