Angel's dedicated yes-man and follower, Cherub obeys the other without protest and idolizes him to irresponsible extremes. Rescued from death by Angel during their cycle and chosen as Angel's plus-one, Cherub has pledged their life in debt to him and considers him their godly savior. They don't care if it's feeding Angel's ego too badly or inflating his self-worth - all that matters to them is Angel's smile, Angel's laugh, and Angel's success.
It's probably for the best - for everyone - that Cherub (and Angel) aren't violent or incendiary.
