Story
PRE-SESSION
Reynir's lusus had always been rather distant with him, only giving him basic care, and not being much of a parent. He fed him, he protected him, and that was it. Their relationship is purely give-and-take, and there is little to no familial warmth present. Reynir often practiced his manipulation powers as a young troll in order to get others to do something for him. Lowbloods running errands, highbloods handing over their jewelry, Reynir knew he could talk anyone into doing anything and he took great advantage of that. Later on, he decided to start his own fortune-telling buisness once he came into his premonitave abilities.
If you go to Reynir for a psychic reading, it's 50/50 whether or not you'll actually get something truthful or a load of bullshit. Either way, he believes that it doesn't matter what his clients leave his buisiness feeling, as long as he gets paid. Recently, he's been having more and more visions in his dreams, but the problem is, he can't remember what they are. Just a lot of fire and destruction, and he's not going to stop at anything until he can figure out what he keeps seeing in his dreams. Perhaps the secret project his morail has been all shady with lately will bring about some answers.
THE FIRST SESSION
Reynir had godtiered rather early into the session, and as such, had a front row seat for all the destruction that was about to occur. As his powers developed, he came to the realization that there were no timelines in which their team wouldn't be doomed. Every action they took, and every action after that would lead to some calamity in one way or the other. So, he was content to sit back and watch. When asked, he would give what he knew, but he always kept the fact that there was no future for them secret. The only hiccup in this constant stream of doom came when Leliel Ieshim godtiered, and Reynir finally saw a gap in the timelines where something, anything good could happen.
After this realization, Reynir reached out to Leliel in order to find the cause of this sudden burst of hope. She, being newly godtiered, was unaware of what immense potential she had, but under Reynir's guidance, managed to figure out the extent of the powers of Hope she held. With one wish, she could completely alter the fates of everyone in their team, and armed with this knowledge, Reynir set in motion a plan to save him and his team.
THE NEW SESSION
Upon entry into the brand-new session, the Imperial Flagship the trolls had arrived in was splintered into three pieces, each landing on one of the new planets created in the newly-formed session. Reynir, alongside Tsolun, Nikola and Cerise landed on the Land of Alleys and Frogs, on the far side of the planet away from its Hero's home. They were able to take residence in the many abandoned buildings upon the planet, however Reynir preferred to stay in the Imperial Flagship's wreckage. During the first weeks on LOAAF, Reynir was little to no help in terms of fixing up their quarters. Instead, he was locked up in a dark room, intensely studying the new fates of the session they had just entered. He wouldn't emerge for quite awhile, not that his teammates minded. He was terribly grumpy and not very cooperative, so him sectioning himself off was actually probably the best thing he could have done to help.
Much to his relief, the doom patterns were far less heavy in this session. However, there was always something...off about the session. It always felt like Reynir was never getting the full picture of possibilities, and when he met these new "humans" that inhabited the new Incipisphere, the sensation only grew. The source of his uncertainties all stemmed from them, and as such, he never took a liking to any of the three humans, convinced they were only dooming them to a failed session again. However, it didn't seem like the kids were any harm, in fact, they were doing a great job progressing the game, so why did Reynir still feel like something was missing?
