Captain Isla
Isla is a strong, capable captain of a pirate ship known as the Crimson Frost. She has a long plot which follows her ventures from kithood to adulthood. She is a very loyal kalon, and surprisingly her crew actually relies heavily on her. Some consider Isla charismatic, as she is unusually articulate for a pirate. Just don't forget: she is a real pirate, and she is not afraid to kill. She is incredibly successful as a pirate, and later in life obtains a partner and has three kids. The couple spend the remainder of their lives on the sea, while the kids find their own ways in life. Some search for the mysteries of the Islands shrouded in a dense fog, while others search for their purpose in entertainment. All the while, Isla remains, sailing cheerfully as a wealthy pirate.
Captain Isla is a cunning captain of a pirate ship. She's wise and clever, but she tends to be a little too bold and pushes her ship too far. She's cool and laid back but she's also strong and threatening. She isn't afraid to kill.
Isla has lived from ship to ship since childhood, improving in her ranks and skills as she went. She is knowledgeable primarily in naval combat, where her crew obeys her every word as law. Outside of naval combat, her crew is typically a democratic one, voting for every important decision, and is otherwise governed and managed by her quartermaster.

The following is me running out ideas and not entirely canon as of yet.
Isla obtains treasure owned by bone lesbian prior to some events. She ends up together with star lesbian. Star lesbian sees bone lesbian's treasure and searches through it for some kind of lost artifact, or piece to something. This is prior to star lesbian and Isla dating or even developing romantic feelings for one another.
Isla first meets star lesbian through this occurrence. Star lesbian catches knowledge of this treasure's existence and its appearance on Isla's ship. She goes to obtain it and meets Isla as a result. Isla takes interest in her immediately and seeks out whether or not to try and <3 or <3< with her (quadrants) (?) Maybe not romantically into her though. She tends to be on the more sassy side. Either way, they engage with one another more after this. Star lesbian has feelings for her that she tries to hide and uses Isla's sailing capabilities, among other things, as an excuse to see her again. Isla enjoys teasing star lesbian, but isn't actively aware of her feelings and simply makes these comments and jokes as a way to cope with her own feelings.
Maybe bone lesbian's shine means something in relation to a prophecy or a relative of the lesbian sisters?
