About

I don't have anything written here, but I get tired of seeing the Lorem Ipsum text all the time, so I'm just going to write something else here as placeholder text. I didn't really have a subject in mind before I started writing this so hold on, let me think of something (this is probably the reason most people use Lorem Ipsum but whatever). Ok, here's something. It's not difficult to imagine that the development of forks started with a pointy stick and then, after that, a stick with two points. From there, a third tine makes enough sense to help with stability, but at what point did people seem to agree on a fourth, and why did they stop there? I've seen three-pronged forks, but not commonly, and usually in the context of things that were made by hand. Are forks with four tines just the product of industrialization? Do they really provide that much more control over three tines? Are forks with five tines too cumbersome or is that the point of diminishing returns? I swear I remember talking to someone who was reading a book about this. I should find that book.
