Dorian
"How 'bout today, you try eating someone else for a change?"
Dorian, from the outside, seems cold. He seems scary and intimidating. This is not at all true; for on the inside, he's honestly quite a nice guy. He's big and buff and has a mean expression, but if he sees anyone in need, he'll drop everything to lend a hand. He holds door, he's picks dropped items, he rescues cats from trees (even though he's truthfully terrified of the little hellbeasts). He has a strong complex of needing to be useful to prove his worth. However, he does have a rather mean streak of anger. He can usually keep a cap on himself and has learned how to quell the rage for the most part, but he can't keep it pushed down forever. You do not want to be on his bad side; because not only can he pack a horrible punch with his bare fists, but the truly unlucky will also hold witness to a large werewolf who is more than happy to eat them. But his anger aside, he often gets taken advantage of for his kindness. He just wants to be useful, even sacrificing his own needs.
He was born to a relatively average family in rural Romania. All humans; his mother, siblings, his father. He was treated as an outcast, with his mother and father hating his very existence, only caring for him with the bare minimum. He was subjected to abuse by every member of the family, and it wasn't until the day of his first turning that he truly discovered he was not one of them. In a fit of sudden hunger and confusion, the first turning was incredibly hard on him, and in his panic and feral emotions, he turned on his father. As he lay, bleeding, he bitterly told the young Dorian that he was thankful that he was not his true father. In these last, dying breaths, Dorian learned that his mother had been supposedly rescued from the den of a werewolf, and he was the result of this.
He could never bring himself to tell the others that he had killed his step-father. He lived with the guilt, desperate to prove himself to them, but they only continued to shun him. After so long of enduring this abuse, one day, he awoke to the smell of smoke. It was a horiffic night, and Dorian spent far too long trying to save his family from the flames. The house ate them, and he was left with nothing but ash. To this day, he stills hears their screaming, and he entirely blames himself. He remembers waking up in the ash, the screams not silent, and a thick bruise on his forehead.
He moved out of the country soon after. He hopes to one day find his true father, to ask him why he cursed him with lycanthropy, but he has absolutely no leads on him. He tried to stay in many places but it never worked out - people didn't want to hire him, he couldn't find a place to live, or he wolfed out by mistake and had to leave before he was caught. Over time, he migrated to America, where he now lives in a small town on the outskirts of the woods. Or rather, he lives in the woods. He basically just rolled into town one day and the folk just accepted him. Everyone knows him to some extent; "oh yeah, that big fella in the woods!' He's very quiet and doesn't tend to approach anyone, but when someone else tries, he'll answer with gruff, short responses. He's not a people person. Just rolled in with his two dogs and over time, made a name for himself. Sort of. Basically just came out there, built a small cabin in the woods, and lives. He also snagged himself a part-time job as a convenience clerk, which is kind of funny because he doesn't even know how to read, and the story of his hire was he walked in at the exact moment their ladder broke, and the manager was like 'YOU'RE TALL'. So, he tends to do background shit of stock and stacking, sometimes driving trade to other towns, but rarely. The job isn't great pay, so he also tops up his cash with doing odd handyman jobs, and sells some cut firewood to people. It's hard to get by in this tiny little town, but it's home.
Now, he lives in his cabin (which he's slowly expanding and updating!), with six dogs that he loves dearly. They're all rescues. He will not hesitate to take in any dog, even if its vicious as fuck. Honestly, his favourite dog is a piece of shit and as much as its put a fuck ton of holes in him in the past, Dori would die for this pupper. I mean, he'd die for any pupper. Or person, really. His own body means absolutely nothing to him. As long as everyone is okay, he'll sacrifice himself in a heartbeat. He's really nice, he's just... Difficult at conversing with. He doesn't have to speak to you to know he's trying to do good.
