Once a priest of Elune, Sorrel Silverblade changed drastically from a war-enabled child into a powerful voidcasting medic. A Doctor and Junior Chief of Staff of Libertas Medica Azeroth and an original and central member of the Emerald Court, Sorrel considers himself a man of the people.
"My body is my canvas, my strength, and my focus."
Sorrel's body shape is usually hidden behind several layers of the bulk of their robes, but their muscular build and prominent chest can still be seen despite it all. Their figure is tucked in at the waist, giving them a somewhat feminine-looking figure, but their stance and how they carry themselves give off the energy of a masculine presentation.
"In order to fight your foe, you must know them wholly - inside and out."
Sorrel has an aura full of shadows and void energies. Anyone sensitive to such magics could find this out easily, and anyone with magical aptitude could find it out with a bit of effort. Faint touches of arcane linger on their magical signature as well, but the void's presence practically drowns it out.
"It's my natural born right to use the Gods' powers against Them. They asked for this. I didn't."
Sorrel's void curse is attributed to actual, physically-inscribed curse marks on their body. They're scarrified onto their flesh, raised and blackened by the very ichor that borne them.
On their back, just under where their neck meets their shoulders, a cursemark is visible, shath'yar written into it, said to aid their sanity and mental state. On the lower half of their back is another, much larger mark, and its purpose seems unknown just by inspecting it.
"My Pride rests in who I am now and what I've overcome."
Sorrel, because of their time in war and history of not caring about how they treat their body, carries many scars. The most visible scars are on their ears. Scar tissue wraps around the widths of them, as if they'd been cut off and reattached multiple times. The only other often-visible scar is a large burn scar that stretches across a hand-sized portion of the front and side of their neck and jaw.
"Is it Vanity if it brings me solace? Is it Egotistical to make myself the man I want to be? If it's either, is that even so bad?"
Sorrel's living hand certainly doesn't look very normal. Scales grow on the back of it in patches and along the backs of their fingers. Sometimes, even, Sorrel can be seen with several horns growing out of their skull. When they're visible, they sport three pairs of smooth, polished, pale horns not unlike teeth or ivory. They seem very well taken care of.
Two horns curl from behind their ears and around them. Two horns come from the back of their head and almost meet in front, forming a thin, broken circlet. The last two horns come from the top of their head, turning out, then in, then slightly out again, terminating in very sharp, delicate points.
"My hands may never be clean, but they will still deliver you from your worst Fears."
Sorrel's left hand is often covered in dark, crawling veins or splotches of ink. Small scales grow on the back of it, hard and rigid. A very trained or discerning eye might be able to tell what kind of scales they are, but they don't look natural for a kaldorei to have.
His right hand, and in fact, his entire right arm and leg, are mechanical and magical prosthetics, made for him by the infamous Verin Rosefall. Black and purple in colour, they're waterproof and quite dextrous. Knowing Verin, there are probably useful tools packed in each nook and cranny.
"Living in Stormwind has taught me one thing above all: Be prepared for anything."
Sorrel wears a fine set of religious robes that carry heavy magical enchantments upon them, made for them by a friend and coworker. The robes themselves are made of cloth, leather, and metal studs, though when caught by the light just right, one might be able to see they're reinforced magically and physically.
Spiked armour pieces are strapped to their waist and elbows, providing a bit of extra, visible protection. Red seals with small skulls depressed into the wax are affixed to the robes' sleeves and metal side-plates, and attached to each is a short prayer Sorrel wrote themselves. Under the armour, there's a layer of dead-silent adamantite scalemail, and on their left arm and leg, they wear a bracer and shin-guard.
"Faith is my respite, my island in rough waters."
Sorrel wears a pendant made from the fragment of a fallen, corrupted naaru. Given to them by a dear friend, they regard it highly and clutch it in times of stress. Beneath it on a different strand, they wear a bone pendant with an image of a sha depicted on it. They keep both under their robes.
Over their robes, Sorrel wears a beautiful thalassian-made silver chain giving off the appearance of vines, and the tiny metal leaves have distinct rippling patterns on them. On the end is a very old crescent - an heirloom, and a holy symbol of Elune.
"Elune guides my hand in sickness and in health."
Sorrel carries on their outer belt a heavy mace. It's large and made out of a dense marble, polished and smooth along its edges. Blessed by a paladin with incredible faith, their mace, which they call Elune's Guidance, deals holy damage when it strikes a target.
On the large, flat sides of the mace are two circles - one black, one silver, likely representing the moon. On the very top is a beautifully cut rainbow moonstone embedded into a golden socket, meant to ease the use of the Light when the mace is wielded.
On one small side of Elune's Guidance, a titanic transmutation rune has been inscribed, which Sorrel uses to transmute shadows and void energy into life energy. On the other is a draenic rune, meant to empower and strengthen any Light chanelled through it. It seems to be a weapon designed and made for dealing with void creatures or void cultists.
"Sacred is my Purpose, and no man nor God can hold me from it."
Sorrel keeps a wood-bound tome at his side at all times, hidden under his robes. It resides in a religious leather book harness, firmly held in place. He's very sure to make sure people don't see or touch it, but those sensitive to void energies can sense its presence, even if it's not visible.
"I do what is right for the good of Azeroth and her people. That's it. It doesn't need to be more complicated than that."
On the belt under his robes, Sorrel has two daggers that never leave his side, cursed to forever be in his possession. They're twins of one another, long with ornate designs along the blade and spinning, magical pommels. One is a glowing, gleaming gold colour, which he calls Quiet Eyes, while the other, Twilight Zone, is a dusky violet.
Sorrel seems to be incredibly fond of these Blades, and he regards them as sacred to him, personally. He can sometimes be seen holding onto them or tracing along their designs when stressed or under mental duress, like some sort of mental anchor.
"Find your strength in your enemies such so that you may learn from them and learn to overcome them."
Tied to his underbelt is a jar containing a dense, goo-like ink, swirling black and white, yet never mixing to form grey. Those sensitive to void energies can sense its presence, and perhaps faint traces of lingering Fear.
