Echo is mute due to a deformity in his vocal chords. He has incredible hearing, to the point where he can hear basically through walls across a building. Not only can he hear everyday, normal sounds, he can also hear supernatural phenomena and ghosts. It is incredibly hard for him to separate what is a normal sound and what is something no one else can hear.

Echo is solitary and reserved. Communication with others is a struggle and he doesn't enjoy it regardless. He enjoys writing and publishes ghost stories and other books about the supernatural under a pseudonym.
