Ryder Wright is a San Francisco born and Boston based Medical hero currently attending Schuyler.

Hero Name: Blood Pamba

Quirk: Bloody Heaven

The user’s body generates a healing factor that travels binded to red blood cells in the bloodstream. The user can extract blood from it’s own body at will and manipulate it to administer it to others in order to heal wounds/cuts/infections.

Blood healing ratio: In order to heal Ryder looses some of his blood, depending on diet for him, it takes between 3 and 7 days to gain back a litre of blood. He tries not to go above that amount in less of the time it takes for him to regenarate it.

Healing ratio:

• 50ml - superficial cuts, lacerations, nothing deeper than half a cm
• 60-300ml deeper wounds, reaching muscle, clean stabs, múltiple wounds
• 300-700ml single fracture. Ligament torns, muscle cutcut
• 700-1000ml compound fractures. Organ damage (internal bleeding)
• 1lt - 1.5lt gun wounds.
• >1.5lt organic systems failure, most of this would require closer to 2 lt (puts him out of commission)

Limitations:

• In order to heal others Ryder needs to make an opening in his body to let the blood come out. Said opening will eventually self heal, so taking care of multiple people would require multiple openings.
• How much blood is required to heal someone depends on the severity of the wound and the amount of wounds. As blood travels inside the body it will heal whatever it finds that need to be taken care off, indiscriminately, so the healing factor may be consumed before reaching all wounds and that would require administering more blood.
• There’s a limit on how many healings he can do in a short period of time, as blood is a limited resource. If he exceeds himself the first symptom will be dizziness, followed by shortage of air, nausea, headache, hipotermia and if ignored, fainting. Above a litre and a half would make him experience most of this symptons, while 2 would put him out of commision for healing for at least 2 weeks, and he'd be sleeping 24 hours a day for the first 4 days, meaning he'd require constant assitance.

Ryder is usually a serious and hardworking person. He does have a sense of humor but it tends to be dry and rely on sarcasm most of the time. He does the logical, rational thing first and foremost, putting emotional responses on the back of his mind. You can’t let your heart get in the way of your work. Not when your work consists of saving people’s lives..

Ryder is a very proud individual, both of his own work and accomplishments and those of his family, and doesn’t take insults to them lightly.

All the setbacks he has had in life has made him quite a pessimistic person, looking at everything “realistically”. If things turn out well he’d be pleasantly surprised, but so far? No luck. Despite this, he doesn’t hold it against people who are optimistic and can see the good side of life easily. If anything he spends time with that kind of person hoping some of the good vibes will rub on him.

Ryder was born 15 minutes before his twin brother Rhys, to single mother Gretchen after she completely cut contact with the father of the twins and moved to the other side of the country, from San Francisco to Boston because he did business with bad people.

They grew up a rather normal life, but sadly they never had much spare money. Their mom had never been able to finish university so she only got low paying jobs. Still, she managed to provide a home and a healthy and safe life for her kids, with a little extra help from the kids grandmother.

Discovering he actually had a quirk wasn’t really simple. The only clue his mom had was that as a child, he never got sick and cuts and scrapes always healed faster than those of his sibling. It wasn’t until both him and his brother got hurt at the same time on a bike accident that he actually used his blood to heal his twin. He had to see a specialist in order to have the limits and capabilities of his quirk being determined, and had to work hard in order to make it usable as he grew.

After graduating from highschool he got into college to be a doctor. But higher education is expensive, and med school is long. Ryder had to get a part time job to pay for his tuition. Things were fairly good except for the part where he was getting in debt and then the Boston villain takeover happened. It was a rather traumatic experience. Ryder and his brother tried to help as much as they could around the city. Things seemed to get better after that except the next year the mutant rampage happened. Because of the constant attacks he couldn’t attend classes regularly and by the very end his house got destroyed by the Butcher’s rampage. While no one in his family got hurt, his family and him were devastated.

During the aftermath of the fight, and because there was nothing else to do, he offered to help local heroes. While his brother repaired equipment he healed as many people as he could, both with his quirk and practical knowledge in order to alleviate the workload the emergency services had after such a large scale incident.

The increased debt from not having where to live, having to start over almost ended him. He was ready to put a hold on his education. Do whatever it took to survive, have a roof above his head and food on his plate. But then his brother came up with the crazy idea of enrolling to Schuyler. It was a way to have free housing, free quality education and be able to help people. Because he literally had nothing else to lose Ryder let Rhys choose his hero name and design a costume for him. With great scores from med school and recommendation letters from both his teachers and some heroes he had assisted he decided to take a leap of faith.
