Erity Akihiro (Notes)

Season 1:
Thinking a Pro hero goes to Endeavor saying how Erity is taking the entrance exam to get into UA.
Endeavor: and?
Hero: and...you should write a recommendation for her. No way she'll pass the entrance exam based on her quirk alone
Endeavor: I dont see how this is my problem
Hero: you owe it to her. You owe it to her family…
Endeavor goes so silent it's threatening. He ends up writing the reccomendation letter. He sends one to U.A. and one to her. When Erity receives it, she recognizes the return address as his agencey. She doesnt even open it. She immediately tears it up. She's determined to make it into UA on her own merit.
She's able to get the minimum amount of points to get in by using her quirk to block the robots' sensors which put her at an advantage

I kinda want love at first sight for Shoto
He notices her the first day of class
His eyes constantly follow her
But shes to oblivious to notice
When she does catch him staring
He gets a subtle blush and his heart starts racing
She's thinking he's trying to say hi so she just smiles and waves
And he gives a weak wave not sure what the hell is happening

Erity before calling him Shoto: Todoroki takes to long to say. Hmm. Todo. OH. Roro sounds cute

What he ends up saying: ok

Trial Battle Arc:
Hero Team-Shoto Todoroki, Mezo Shoji, and Erity Akihiro Vs. Villain Team-Mashirao Ojiro & Toru Hagakure
Hero Team Wins
Erity has a really bad habit of saying her thoughts out loud so when he tells them to stay back it's dangerous she's like ???????????????? and he freezes up the building and she's just huh I didn't expect the son of Endeavor to have an ice quirk. I thought he'd be a carbon copy of his father
And she goes on THINKING SHE'S SAYING THESE THINGS IN HER HEAD
"He's strong, but even so going in alone is so reckless. He didn't even try to converse with us to form a plan. Does he think he's better than everyone else. Ah, that would makes sense considering--"
Shoji nudges her and Shoto is staring at her
AND SHE STARTS PANICKING
OH NO HE'S GONNA ICE ME (saiyuki fans where you at??????)
Listen, Goldie was like "she digs me"
So we goin with this:
she's panicking and shit and he's just thinking "She's so cute. I'm going to go out of my way to show her I'm nothing like him"

USJ Incident:
When the League of Villains attack the USJ and Kurogiri warps the students to various zones in the facility, Erity ends up in the fire zone faced off against with a single villain.
Erity understands her quirk is at a disadvantage around fire and refuses to attack first.
She notices the villain is apprehensive about making the first move, leading her to deduct that the villains are unaware of what the the students’ quirks are.
The villain tries to bait her in charging at him.
She doesn’t fall for it.
When the villain is impatient enough, he strikes first, allowing her to put her fighting skills into action.
Says to her says something like Mommy and daddys not here to help you, kid
And she retorts with"Taunts like that don't work on those without parental guidance. Might I suggest on coming up with something a bit more substantial? If you're hoping to rile me up to make me lose focus, I'm afraid that isn't going to work on me."
During their fight, the villain reveals their plan.
She makes quick work of him and hurries to find her way out of the fire zone to assist Aizawa and Thirteen in an attempt to prevent the villains from finding and hurting All Might.
While he doesn’t show it, Shoto is overcome with relief in seeing Erity join them that he doesn’t even notice the bleeding gash on her torso
When Deku crashlands in his attempt to save All Might, Erity calls out to him as she runs to his aid.(close friends & neighbors) In that moment, she sees All Might’s weakened form. She is stunned as All Might and Deku panic. She expresses that she understands and vows to keep his secret. (happens before the pros show up)

Season 2
UA Sports Festival:

What made you want to be a pro hero? -Deku
It’s funny. I never really wanted to be a hero, or at least not until my parents died. Truthfully, it was seeing my brother become a pro hero that made me want to be a hero. His drive, his ambition. I know he only did it to keep me safe, but his influence made me realize something. There are still many people who are quirkless. There are people who don’t think their own quirks are useful…so they refuse to use them, as if they don’t exist. Those are the sort of people I want to protect. Everyone deserves to live with a smile. They deserve to live comfortably. I want to help create a peaceful world.  

First game: obstacle race -- 7^th Place
-Shoto’s ice at the doorway
-Shoto freezing the robot
Erity is at the back watching everyone cram into the tunnel that leads outside.
“Panic. Urgency.Discord. I'm not going to get anywhere like this.”
Her eyes glance back and forth between the walls before staring up at the ceiling. She smiles to herself, hitting her fist into her hand. “Piece of cake!”
She walks towards the entrance of the stadium before running at full speed towards the crowd of students. She uses her hands and places them on a student’s shoulders to help her leap off of the ground and towards the wall. She jumps from one side of the wall to the next until she reeaches the exit. Upon landing, she slips and falls on ice that most students seemed to be stuck in. She hits her chin, causing her to bite her lip and bleed. She quickly spits out the blood. She looks ahead, seeing shoto already freezing the enormous robot.
“That’s quite clever on both counts. He has such a strong start, but I can’t let him take first place that easily. That thing’s gonna collapse. I gotta move!”
She’s able to use her speed and reflexes to get past the robot before it falls and shatters.
-Rock levels and ropes
Nearly gives in to fear because she’s terrified of heights. She unbuckles her belt and uses it to zipline across the ropes
Honesty probably screaming the whole time
*Terror screams
*"I hate this!"

-Landmine Field
Runs as fast as she can to the finish line.
Gets blasted by two lanndmines
Watches Deku fly over everyone.
She laughs “That’s so recklessly smart! Go, Izuku!!”  

Second Game: Calvary Battle--4thplace
Team Midoriya
Alternative:
”I think I have an idea!”
Erity covers them overhead with papers, making it darken and allowing dark shadow to avoid losing power in the sun
Shoto immediately freezes them and they fall to the ground, breaking into pieces.
Shoto, to himself: Sorry, Akihiro. I wish you would have joined another team.
Erity frowns.
”Sorry”
”Useless,” she mutters
Fumikage: It was a good idea.
They get into the next round thanks to Deku and Fumikage

Told by Momo the girls were required to wear the cheer outfits even if you made it into the final tournament (as relayed bt Mineta and Denki)

Chooses to wait out the side games until the final tornament

-It’s like when a puppy sees its reflection for the first time and ends up fighting it, thinking it’s another dog. Though I guess in this case, it’s more like a beta fish scenario

Spectating Ura V Bakugo
-He’s so powerful, but…something’s different about him. When I’ve seen him fight before, he’s aggressive and there’s a lot of smack talk from him. He’s more focused now. This isn’t just about blasting out Ura to make it to number one. He sees her as an actual threat. He knows he could lose to her. He’s using his head this time. I wonder if that’s based on your fight with him, Izuku.

-”What are those shadows?” She looks up to dee the debris. “That’s so clever…”

Spectating Deku V Shoto

-No way! H-he’s breaking his fingers to fend off Roro’s attacks?
-Bakugo is right. I only use my quirk as a last resort. I forget that it’s the same as a physical ability. Izuku is seriously putting his body through the ringer. And there’s frost appearing on Roro. That’s never happened before. I wonder if that means he’s reaching his limit. If that’s the case, Izuku may have a shot in winning this fight. If he can just keep avoiding--THAT’S THE LAST OF HIS FINGERS TO USE HIS QUIRK
He’s…still going.He’s even landing hits on Roro.
-Izuku…this…this isn’t just about winning the fight for him.This is about getting Roro to accept himself. I wonder if he knows just how much of a hero he is already.
-Those flames…

-Huh? Is that…Endeavor?
-They’re going to blow out the entire stadium

Erity Akihiro V Shoto Todoroki (after his fight with Deku)
Uraraka tells her she she should forfeit now. She's at a 100% disadvantage
"I can't do that. Pro heroes face off villains all the time where they're at a disadvantage. Giving up isn't something heroes do. I'm not about to start that trend of thinking. I'm just going to have to try to think outside of the box."
Deku manages to make it in time to see the start of the fight and is worried.
So she goes up against Shoto
They stare each other down
Then she smiles
"Give it your all, Roro. Hold nothing back."
He's so taken aback by that
The match begins and she's mostly using close combat attacks.
He creates icicles to lunge at her to keep her at bay. In the process of dodging, one grazes her cheek
At one point she gets close enough to kick the side of his face.
He blocks it with one swift movement.
They make eye contact before the hand he blocked her with encases her ankle in ice.
More close combat fighting
He tries covering the area she's on in ice to get her to slide off the stage and lose the match.
He doesnt want her hurt
She thinks she's a goner herself but uses his ice to slide across the stage towards him
Between his legs
Lands in the area behind him that isnt covered in ice and uses both feet to kick him in the back and make bim stumble forward
She uses her quirk to encase him in papers
Her idea is to move him with her twirling papers to the edge of the stage
She's using up so much stamina
Shoto kind of just lets it happen "She's trying so hard. I should just give her this win."
Then he remembers her words Give it your all. Hold nothing back.
He can hear his father’s voice “encouraging” him
He’s recalling the fresh memory of Deku’s fight
He’s overwhelmed with stress
Just as he's about to fall off, fire erupts and burns the papers surrounding him.
She shrieks as his flames had moved out farther than inticipated and singed her hand and arm (not enough to scar, but enough to feel a constant burning sensation for a few days)
He retracts his flames as quickly as they appeared. A frown on his lips and shame in his eyes.
"So close," she mutters, falling to her knees, fatigue setting in.
She looks to him. “I know I can’t defeat you, but thank you for at least giving me the chance. Most of all, for not going easy on me”
Shoto is declared the winner
She lowers her head in embarrassment. “Can I ask you for a favor?”
Shoto: What is it?
Erity: Could you…um…possibly…t-th-that is to say…um…c-could you help me off the arena? My body’s too weak to move.”
He can feel his heart racing. He doesn't say anything as he picks her up and carries her to Recovery Girl
Midnight probably makes a comment that makes them both light up red
At some point Endeavor says to him "You nearly let that girl with the useless quirk defeat you. I expect better from you, Shoto."

As shoto is passing by her to present hishero name, he quietly tells her the name she chose was clever and that he likes it.she gives him a very nervous thank you
Ochaco: Why fantasy hero and not reading hero?
Erity: Oh, well, if my quirk is anything like my great-great grandfather’s, if I train hard enough, I can develop it into an illusionary quirk, too. But…I doubt that would ever happen. It would take a lot of vigious physical and mental training. I’m not sure I’ll ever be as strong as he was
Deku: Why’s that?
Erity, laughing: My dad always said I was too sensitive

When she says the reason they were picked, Erity walks out
Momo: W-where are you going, Akihiro! You can’t just walk out out on an internship! No…matter…the reasons?
Erity: I didn’t apply to UA to be a model. I received a letter saying I could arrive at any time. Choosing this agency was a clear mistake. Good luck, guys

Spots Deku while heading towards the wreckage
Alternative: Deku uses all for one and throws Erity towards Stain. She manuvers while flying towards him and kicks both feet into his face to get him away from Tenya
While deku is going one on one with stain and shoto is using his quirks from a distance, shoto tells erity to stay back and protect tenya and the pro hero
when stain cuts deku again and he cant move:
Izuku!
She runs past shoto and slides under stain, putting herself in between deku and stain

Stain: And you. You haven’t used your quirk yet. Let’s see what you can do
Shoto starts to internally panic

Injuries from stain: graze on the chin, knife stabbed through her thigh, graze across the neck
Stain tells her he knows who she is and explains Endeavor is the reason her brother is dead. She begins to falter

She smiles “O-oh, right. The hero killer thing. Yeah, I’m okay. Don’t worry. I didn’t get hurt too bad…and…you were right. He was probably just trying to trick me. I’ll be better about that kind of manipulation next time. I’m…really glad you were there, Shoto.”

Erity: Well…it’s just that compared to both of you, my quirk isn’t that useful. I’m afraid I’ll hold you both back and we all fail.

Shoto stares at her, recalling how useless she felt her quirk was when they fought against stain, so she refused to use it

Momo: You did really well in the sports festival, though, so I think--

Shoto: Erity

Erity: Uh, y-y-yes?

Shoto walks over to her, placing a hand on the top of her head. She flinches from the action. When she opens her eyes, they lock gazes and she can feel herself blushing

Shoto: You’re going to do fine. You’re fast, a stronger fighter than you look, and you’re resourceful. Even if you choose not to use your quirk, we can strategize how to take down Aizawa or come up with an escape plan. Together. We won’t be able to do this without you.

Shoto’s plan was for Momo and Erity to run to the escape gate
Knowing Erity was with Shoto, Deku, and Tenya while facing Stain, Aizawa strung up Erity along with Shoto

Erity, whispering to herself: Useless airhead Erity. They were right.

Shoto: Hey, are you okay?

Erity: Oh! Uh y-yeah. I’m fine.

She shakes her thoughts away

Shoto, listen. Momo thinks highly of you. She thinks you’re stronger and more adept than her in making decisions when in a crisis. If Aizawa catches up to her, she’s not going to know what to do. She’s going to circle back. She needs instruction. We were talking earlier about the plan she came up with. Let her take charge. She needs to know she can rely on herself and she needs to know she can count on you to listen to her

They follow Momo’s plan and pass the final

As they’re heading back to the central plaza, she has a bit of a forlorn look

Aizawa stops. As Erity passes him, he places a hand on her shoulder

Aizawa: There are many different aspects of being a hero, Akihiro. You did really well, too.

Erity: But…I didn’t do anything

Aizawa: Being offensive and defensive is just as important as supporting. You and Todoroki supported Yayorozu’s plan to defeat me. You followed her instruction. More than that, I know you convinced Todoroki to allow her to take the reigns, and now she feels just as much as a team member as both of you. The point is, tactical support is important, but so is emotional support. It’s the one thing you do with ease. However, you do need to work on using your quirk more.

Erity: It’s not like that would have helped

Aizawa: Do you remember during the sports festival how you used your quirk against Todoroki at the last moment? If I remember right, you surrounded him with your papers.

Erity: I remember.

And how did you use your quirk during the entrance exam?

Erity: I…

She looks over her shoulder at him.

I blocked the robots’ sensors…using my…using my quirk.

Aizawa: If you would have used your quirk to block my vision of your team, you three probably would have taken me down a lot sooner. Your quirk isn’t as useless as you think

He walks off.

Erity also doesnt go due to an obligatory family dinner with her aunt, uncle, and cousin who pay for her housing and give her a monthly allowance.

She defeats the nomu but barely
She's badly beaten and bloodied.
She's clinging to life at this point.
Tomura: I personally think you used a cheat code, but a deal's a deal. You're a target now. Remember that. That is, if you survive the night
Kurogiri warps her to UA
Shoto spots her from a window.
He's panicking
The whole gang goes outside
Aizawa puts his arm in front of Shoto to stop him from running to her
Deku is clenching his fist so hard it bleeds. He just wants to help his friend
Aizawa: it could be a trap
She collapses on the ground
Erity: All...i ever wanted after my parents died was to become a hero. I doubted myself in between that time. You have a useless quirk. Youre not strong enough. You could never be a hero, airhead erity.
They could tell it was hurting her to talk.
She was crawling closer, leaving a trail of smeared blood. Her nails digging into the dirt as she drags herself closer
But I watched Izuku excel so much. I watched him. So proud of him. And I've watched you accept yourself. Youre going to be a great hero. I...want that, too. I want to be a hero, too. PLEASE, LET ME BE A HERO AGAIN.
Her arm reached out.
Her vision blurry from blood loss, or from tears that filled her eyes

You.. kept coming back for me. I couldnt understand why. I think...today I understood She whispers to herself Or have I always known? You've become everything to me, Shoto.
She talks louder again I want to fight by your side...again
Aizawa lowers his arm Shoto and Deku run to her.
Shoto picks her up into his arms Both boys shedding tears
Deku: youre going to become a great hero, too Erity.
Shoto: //whispering//I'll never let you down again
Aizawa: Take her to recovery girl. I'll inform principal Nezu what's happened and we'll figure out where to go from there.

I think what happens is the teavhers take a vote.
Only All Might, Aizawa, and Midnight vote for her to come back.
Nezu overrides the majority vote and allow her to come back with conditions
1. Redemption class
2. Not allowed to take the hero license exam when her class takes it
3. Extra classes
4. A week of another internship for missing out on summer camp

the aftermath of Erity's return Recovery girl reports to Aizawa, Deku, and Shoto who are waiting outside the infirmary
"I've done all I can for her. Whomever she fought did a real number on her. The rest is up to her now. Physically, I don't anticipate any long-term damage, but I'll keep an eye out as she recovers. You boys should go back to your dorms and rest. She'll be safe here." Aizawa: You heard her Midoriya. Todoroki. Get back to the dorms. You're no use to her fatigued.
Shoto: You...expect me to just leave her here?
Deku: Todoroki...I know you really care about her. She's my friend, too. She'll be okay. And we can always visit tomorrow.
Recovery Girl: That's right. And she won't be going anywhere any time soon.
Shoto: You just don't get it, do you? This entire thing...is my fault!
Aizawa: She chose to join Shigiraki's gang. That isn't your fault.
Shoto: No, but...she called me. She needed to talk. She needed me, and I wasn't there for her. She was alone. She joined the villains and I could still see that loneliness in her eyes. I'm not going to let her be alone again. Not when it counts.
Recovery Girl sighs: A stubborn mule just like your father at your age. All right then. You can stay the night, but you two have to leave.

I think after the island (the first movie) she's starting to get overwhelmed with dark thoughts and feelings After returning home, she calls Shoto to try and talk about it. She's hoping talking to him will help her
But he doesn't pick up.
Probably visiting his mother.
She's alone overwhelmed vulnerable
And that's when she gives in.
She leaves her home and goes searching for someone who would know where she can find the league of villians' hideout to talk about her recruitment.
To build her up and to help her take down Endeavor.

SO WHEN UA'S BIG 3 IS INTRODUCED

NEJIRE GETS EXCITED SEEING ERITY AND IS HUGGING ON HER

Erity, with her face completely red: Nana, stop. This is embarrassing

Shoto with a small smile thinking the blush on her is cute

Ochaco: Wait, THAT'S NANA? SO THE NANA I OVERHEARD YOU TALKING TO ON THE PHONE DURING THE SPORTS FESTIVAL WASN'T YOUR GRANDMOTHER?!

Erity: What? No. When we were little, I couldn't say her name, so she's been Nana ever since

Nejire: Isn't it cute?

She gives a cheeky smile as she looks over at Shoto while she pokes Erity's cheek: Don't you just love this shade on her

Shoto's whole body stiffens as a red tint rushes to his own cheeks

Erity, sighing: I can't believe you're one of UA's big 3.

I'm thinking Erity is close to Nejire but her parents don't care much for her, so it's Nejire who convinces them to pay for Erity's rent and monthly allowance after Erity's brother is killed and it's Nejire who convinces her parents to use their influence to get the agency she interns with to offer Erity and internship after she sees how she performs at the sports festival
