Backstory Juniper Phelan (June) was born and raised in a small city/large town. The town is a 40 minute walk from a massive forest that no one has fully explored.
Her mother is a close-minded woman that cares more about her image and her family's image than her actual family's well-being.
June's father is a boar/deer hunter and often travels to the forest to gather herbs and spices for marketing or use at home. He often took Juniper with him to teach her about the forest and how beautiful it was. June was a very quiet, polite, girl that often said 'please' and 'thank you' to everyone.
Unfortunately, one visit to the forest ended horribly. A group of bandits attacked and robbed them, killing Juniper's father in the process. Fortunately for Juniper, two massive wolves came by and attacked the bandits. A brown wolf with green eyes scared them off and fought them, while the gray one with blue eyes tried to grab Juniper to bring her to safety. During the heat of the situation, the wolf bit too hard and broke skin without realizing. The brown wolf continued to scare off the bandits while the gray wolf took Juniper back home, dropping her off near the gate. Her mother saw her instantly, worried.
That night, Juniper struggled to sleep. A mix of sadness for her father and pain in her arm. Once she fell asleep, she experienced a very unusual but vivid dream. She remembers being approached by something and was startled awake.
The next time she had this dream, she was scared awake by the vision of her own face. The first thing she had noticed when she woke up was that something smelled delicious.
She went to investigate, careful not to wake up her mother. On her way to the door, she looked in the mirror. She had turned into a wolf!
She did a little excitement dance thinking this was a really cool dream. Then Juniper left to find the source of the smell. She found meat that was left out on the counter of the butcher shop.
She ate the meat and when she got home, she fell asleep instantly in her bed. These activities continued for several nights and from there on forward, her behavior began to change drastically.
