Penelope

For common folk magic is part of fantasy media, books, movies, games. For Penelope, magic is her job. She finds, handles and investigates all the magical mysteries of the world. They are pretty rare but still probably not as rare as people think. People just like to think everything has a logical explanation. Othes say magic is only science they don’t understand yet.

Whatever it is, it’s considered strange and often quite scary which is why the experts on magical phenomena are not very common (and which is why, they most likely know each other at least by name).

Penelope is a detective that specializes in weird cases. She has never considered herself as paranormal investigator or an expert on that field (people often mistake ghosts and such being magic related things) but she is a good link to find one’s way around the mystical side of the world.

She's curious and observant lady who knows a lot but tells little, which are excellent traits for her job. Though she's not the loudest or the most outstanding person she does her job well and carefully.

Penny’s confidence is the type that comes with age and doing the things one’s good at and loves doing. She doesn’t make a big number of herself but she has quite a notable presence in the room.

Often deciding to be a mentor rather than a friend for the people around her, she might come across as uncaring. Sadly, she thinks, she cares a lot and is willing to go great lengths to protect those she holds dear.
