Megan is said to be the last of her kind, NightShades, which are vampiric, humanoid creatures that give the appearance of constant deterioration. as it seems their bodies tend to smoke as if they are burning from the inside out. Although she doesn't need to feed like her Vampire counter part, she does still need a more carnivorous diet than the average person.
