Grimoire is a very gloomy and timid character that prefers to be in the shadows rather then join in on the festivities. You'll mostly find him wondering the halls of the magic academy he attends but will disappear at even the slightest hint of conflict. Always with an neutral look on his face, he speaks with a slow monotone voice that sounds like he's drifting of into sleep.

Dark magic

Able to conjure and control dark magic, this type of magic is one of the most powerful elements know to mortals but the draw back to using this magic is that it can drain your life energy if you are not careful. Thankfully Grimoire is a member of the demihuman race; so when he uses this type of magic it wont drain him as much but will make him sleepy after a large amount of use. 

Transformation/ Shape shifting

Can transform into a feral cat to aid in quick escapes, can keep this form for a few hours before having to change back. 

Dead language

Can speak to the dead and ghosts.

A dark mage in training, Grimoire is highly attuned to dark elements which gives him the ability to conjure dark forces either it be in the form of pure dark magical energy or incorporeal beings. Being able to summon familars is one of his strongest assets.

Past

Born and raised in a small country town, Grimoire's world was especially small due his family's reputation as gravekeepers. An only child, him and his parents lived right next to the misty graveyard in which they tended, off in the hills and away from the village. It was deathly quiet, surrounded by a dreary and foreboding woods, and had an ever-present fog that seemed to block out the sunlight. Because of this environment along with the presence of graves, rumors spread that the grounds were haunted. Visiting townsfolk would often claim to see pale figures drifting in the haze, toiling and meandering about with seemingly no direction or meaning. Little did these villagers know that this was merely Grimoire and his parents taking care of the grounds or otherwise just relaxing out in the open, being mistaken for ghosts because of their pale complexions. Those who knew the truth still shunned them because of their association with death, further isolating the family.
