Ciaun lea Bákkhos

the son of a long-forgotten line of royalty of his kind, ciaun is the technical prince of his laguz-like race and clan, the snow leopard dagaz, until he becomes of age and worthy enough to be king. his kind is elusive, rumored around faerghus but disregarded as legend.

he was raised in the mountains of faerghus by his older sisters and an old protector of his family (who he and his family refer to as grandfather or elder affectionately.), unaware of his relations until he turned 17 and was told he is the descendant of a royal line. after being sheltered away from humans, he was sent to travel for a year to experience the real world and become used to humans in preparation for his next task. when he returned to his home, he was given the dagaz title 'lea' by the elder to reclaim his royal status and sent to join garreg mach to build human-dagaz relationships and to learn how to be a leader with the overarching goal of reuniting all of his kind and bringing them out of hiding.

he joined garreg mach roughly a week after the start of the academy's year. with the dagaz' history regarding the goddess, rhea made an exception to accept him.
the dagaz helped seiros in the war of heroes, with an ancestor of ciauns being the leader of one of the groups allied to them, though this is unbeknownst to ciaun lol

at his age, he is not able to fully transform into a snow leopard without the use of a beastone. he carries a shard of one around his wrist, but it gives him no transformative abilities. even without one, he sports a tail, nails that can sharpen, and longer, slightly furred ears.

because he did not learn of his origins until a year before garreg mach, and because of the fact that the dagaz concept of 'royalty' is different than the human concept, he doesn't act very 'princely,' per se. he is kind by default, but treats people how they treat him, so he isn't afraid to be rude and start a fight if he's provoked, and he's very proud and confident in his abilities.
