He is... a very stressed man. He very rarely speaks out against things, unless compelled to, and despises having to talk too much. He is a little desperate for affection, for reasons he doesn't really know himself. Doesn't sleep a lot, as he has really obscure, terrifying dreams, and usually replaces his scheduled 'sleep' time with energy drinks and refilling his containers if needed. Sleeps usually 1-3 hours a week, with the RARE 5 hours sprinkled in every now and then. Analyzes people's habits and personalities, just to keep tabs on them. Chillin.
Benkei was.... always odd as a child. He was born to a non-tomo family, and his parents always treated him with care. He was incredibly sickly growing up, and his parents pampered him and sheltered him from the outside world. He's lived a relatively uneventful life, though he does dabble with things he.... really shouldn't, and has been just. Vibing.

Benkei was not born as a tomo. His older brother, Itai, who has since disappeared from his life, always despised him from a young age. He found it funny that he was easy to make cry, and that he was incredibly desperate for his approval. This led him to doing some... fairly untasteful things to and with Benkei, and he just going along with it. He told no one, as he was asked to and wanted his brother's approval. Itai was given the false impression that Benkei had "squealed" about what was going on between them, and lashed out at him in a very aggressive manner. Benkei began to recieve daily beatings from Itai, mostly over very small problems. One day it got especially bad, and Itai beat Benkei to death.
Itai fled the house shortly after, and hasn't shown back up since. Benkei's parents found his limp body shortly after, and visited a.... "family friend" to bring him back. The operation was successful, though Benkei was changed, as the "family friend" had a habit of doing this. His memory of these events, and his brother, were removed, and he was made into a tomo. His parents sheltered him for the rest of his time with them, refusing to let him get into anything that could remind him of what had happened, as the "family friend" had suggested it, and they had agreed.
Kierce is an older brother-figure to Benkei, to some extent. He helped get him away from his very sheltered life with his parents, set him up with an apartment, and still keeps tabs on him. Benkei trusts him with his life, as well as a lot of personal information about himself. He feels oddly like Kierce is... responsible for a lot more than he lets onto, though he can't place it correctly. Sometimes his obscure, stressful dreams make him wake up and think he had a conversation with Kierce that didn't really happen. He also can't place why this happens.
