MARKETABILITY

Amalric was originally created as a one-off custom species character for an SMP server, but further collaboration with @vosian led to the creation and current thriving of the Vithius Titan species.

. DESIGN NOTES

• His horns are painted with the same coat as his helmet, although Amalric has made a modification to his helmet to form around his horns, giving the impression they are visible, when they are not.
• Amalric tends to stand in powerful and confident positions, and is very flexible due to his uniquely crafted armor.
• His tail curls and flails around quite often, akin to a nervous or excited cat.

PERSONALITY

Amalric is quick to deny most criticisms towards him, as he feels significance in being a valued and honored Knight. He suffers from growing anger issues as he ages, but does his best not to lash out on anything that wrongs him or the people he cares for, unless absolutely pushed to his breaking point. He feels that a Knight’s job is not done until they’re fragile or deceased, as seen with his continued service as a Knight despite his age gap from the others; one of the easiest ways to piss him off being the mention of his age compared to other Knights and/or the suggestion of retiring already. Despite that, he is a courageous and reserved warrior, not being too much of one for words unless speaking with one he cherishes. To strangers, he seems cold and void of emotion, but behind closed doors with one he can trust, Amalric is understanding, gentle, and even clingy to a point.

BACKSTORY

. RESERVED TRAINEE

With his father being a Citizen Titan and his mother retired from her duties as a Knight, Amalric was born and raised with minimal expectations, his parents not expecting him to do anything extraordinary yet still supporting him on. He trained vigorously, however, determined to make his family more than proud of his progress. Although, this mindset he created for himself caused a wide barrier of distance to form between him and his fellow Knights, becoming reserved and quiet. Amalric was granted the honor of being top of his class, and began service immediately after his graduation Gathering, where he was bestowed his title by his Lord themselves.

. KNIGHTLY SERVICE

Knight Amalric, now holding the honorable title as top of his class, decided it was more than time enough to prove himself. He requested a position of solo service at Ter Bork, which at first was denied, but overruled by his Lord. Amalric, confident in himself and services, gave himself to his work. He served as Ter Bork's solo guardian, only switching to another city for protection if it was necessary for a mission and/or a needed request. His parents eventually decided to move and settle in his serving city, occasionally visiting him on duty to greet Amalric or praise him with a small gift. He attended every annual Gathering to see over the new Knights brandishing their armor and weaponry into their earned positions, and to wish well the fates of Vetust Knights retiring from their lineage service.

. THE BATTLE OF ORMSINGTON

Amidst quiet time, Amalric's service was requested in Ormsington, due to an emergency report that two Knights serving the city had gone missing. Himself, alongside another Knight from his class, travelled and stood in solitude amongst Ormsington. However, sometime during the first day, the two Knights that had gone missing, returned out of nowhere, but not without sudden malicious intent. They had gone beserk, corrupted by nothing short of their own delusion and want to gain power over Citizens and Knights alike. The two hostile Knights waged and pillaged an entire section of Ormsington, before being challenged and defeated by both Amalric and the Knight assisting him. However, during the intense battle, Amalric was taken by surprise and took a devastating blow to his left eye, losing the pupil entirely.
