Clay is the leader of a criminal group known as The Arc, consisting of a band of rogues who commit theft (and sometimes other crimes) primarily in the Broken Badlands area. The Arc originally was a widely travelled group, but settled down in the Badlands. Clay’s decision to do this was partially based on the way his fur camouflages with the terrain and partially because those occupying the Badlands are easy targets - spread out and isolated.
His cyan eyes and other features ruin his badlands camouflage, but he personally thinks it makes him look badass, as his victims merely see cyan eyes before he makes his move. Hopefully this arrogance doesn’t get him caught.
Despite being seemingly self-centred and unintelligent, Clay is actually a very cunning trickster and knows how to carry out his plans effectively, making him and The Arc such a threat to those living in the Broken Badlands.
Clay is a cunning, controlling, manipulative trickster. He is pretty self-centred and does things for his own gain, but deep down he somewhat cares for members of his group.
He can be a bit too cocky and arrogant at times, but this hasn’t yet caused him many issues. He’s pretty reckless at times, yet calculated and wise at others.

Clay is a wolf and african wild dog hybrid. He is orange with a light underbelly, darker orange markings, dark brown spotting and vibrant cyan eyes, insides of his ears and paw pads. He can change between anthro and feral at will.
Clay’s early life is a mystery to all. He doesn’t talk about his upbringing much, nor his parents or where they may have gone in his life, but it’s clear he doesn’t talk to them now. He began his life of crime solo, committing a few pickpocketing crimes at first in Niyoni City where he grew up, but then escalating things further. At some point, he actually committed a murder, which he got away with uncaught. He’s still technically on the run from the law to this day, although the case doesn’t seem to be being pursued that hard by the Niyoni City police anymore as time has passed.
Eventually, Clay began to form connections with other criminals. This led to him forming The Arc, a group that has changed a lot over time with new members. It began in Niyoni City, his home at the time, then became a travelling group all around the area. Eventually, they settled in the Broken Badlands due to the easy, isolated victims and Clay’s natural camouflage.
Since The Arc settled in the Broken Badlands, they have become quite well known for their crimes, yet have evaded capture by any authorities or rogue vigilantes, despite several of the latter being on their trail due to interactions they have had with the group. Being so successful at evading capture has only fuelled Clay’s ego and led him to be more and more reckless.
Death Valley is a member of The Arc, therefore a “colleague” of Clay per se. Clay believes he is on good terms with Death Valley, despite him asserting that he isn’t friends with Clay and uses The Arc purely for his own benefit.
Helios is a vigilante who is hunting down The Arc and so, naturally he and Clay are enemies. They have encountered each other before, when Helios confronted Death Valley and Clay ambushed him. Clay won that time, but Helios isn’t easily deterred.
Kora was targeted by Clay, who tried to steal from her home in the Broken Badlands, but hastily tried to recruit her to The Arc instead when he realised the home wasn’t empty. Kora refused, and seeks to take down Clay and The Arc herself as a vigilante.
