Tecnico Ran

Tecnico Ran was Soldato J's elder sibling and the first offspring of Soldato Kaius Ara. Despite the Kaius Skein often producing Soldato, Ran had little interest in combat and wanted to know how things worked. Ara sent him to apprentice under the Tecnico and by the time he was accepted into the Line he was ready to enter the academy where he excelled.

He was accepted into the Line with the name Kaius Ran Azhurakan, but once his sibling was accepted, Ran changed his name to simply Ran Azhurakan, allowing Talos the Skein name and beginning his own. His own descendants would carry the name Ranus.

Ran worked best with robotics and used Green Planet technology to advance their own mechs. Like most Tecnico he was partially cybernized to allow him direct access to the technology with which he worked. He'd often get calls from Talos to advance certain robotics necessary to the Soldato.

Ran successfully gave birth to a child who survived to adulthood and was accepted into the Line by the name Ranus Veda. Their fates are unknown when the Zonder attacked, though it is assumed both perished.
