♡ Hydie

Hydie is very energetic, and seems to always be able to keep going. He's always excited to explore and his wonder and awe in the world never seems to diminish. 

A botanist born in Galar, having had moved to Alola most of his life for school and research. With his research grant running dry and being denied another for having nothing to show, Hydie found himself returning home to Galar to live with his mom and sister. He was trying to find a new purpose, but seemed to be struggling.

Arriving at the start of a Gym Challenge, his sister's spark of interest motivated him to take up traveling as well. At the end of his travels he ends up with a boyfriend, a new home, and eventually a job in Galarian plant field work so things end up just fine (o:

He seems to have caught the interest of a pretty important person in Galar... :3c (its leon gay rights)

Notes

- His team rn is Golisopod (Cedrus), Feraligatr (Nymphaea), Hoppip (Amomo), Flaafy (Poui), and Oddish (Herbert). He doesn't battle much, theyre more companions for field research. 

- He eventually gets a Dragonite (Antirrhinum), Politoad (Poppy Toad), Comfey (Stellata), Budew (Nico), and Pumpkaboo.

-Herbert is his main companion, and usually found outside of his pokeball. He likes to hang out in Hydie's hair

- He often gets mistaken for a grass type trainer when he says hes a botanist...though he does have several grass type pokemon

- He sticks his tongue out a lot
