Felicity Sweetwood was the second born child to the lord and lady of Brindol, a farming town in the Elsir Vale. When she was a child she was told that there was a drought causing a famine in their land and she needed to go train with a powerful druid so someday she could return home and save her home. A wise old druid, referred to as "The Green Lady," took Felicity away to be trained. Unbeknownst to Felicity, the story she had been told was a poor excuse for a noble family to send away their unsightly tiefling daughter. They wanted to keep Felicity loyal to them while keeping her out of the public eye. The Green Lady recognized that the young tiefling girl had potential, and went along with the story so she could take her as an apprentice.

Felicity was six years old when her parents brought her to the Misty Vale, insistent that she would be the one to save their people. Felicity was incredibly enthusiastic about the prospect of being a druid, having always loved nature, and had no complaints. The mysterious vale was inhabited by a clan of fey sprites who became her friends, along with the animals living in the forest. She trained under The Green Lady for eighteen years before her mentor finally decided she was ready to go out into the world. She returned to her family only to find that the drought had subsided years before and food was plentiful. While she was staying in her family's keep she discovered the true reason that she was sent away, and she was heartbroken. With no need for her magic and no connection to her family, Felicity decided to finally explore the world that she had been sheltered from for so long.

Early on into her exploration, Felicity met a handsome yet surly fallen aasimar named Arturo and his aunt, Shanarah. His aunt took an interest in her and invited her to travel with them. Deciding it was as good an offer as any, Felicity accepted and joined them on their journey to Arthyn. Although Arturo was rather ill-tempered, he slowly began to warm up to Felicity and the two of them started to form a bond. He became very protective over her, not hesitating to smite anyone who laid a hand on her. Felicity could see the good in Arturo despite the way he presented himself. Gradually she began to fall for him, and unbeknownst to her he was developing feelings as well.
