Violet

Early Years: when Violet was young, she was taken from her home by the Wizards looking for more children for the Tower of Heaven. Both of her parents were killed in this instance, and she and her older sister, Cosmos, were taken to be used as slaves. As the cart taking the girls away from their burning town went, Cosmos helped Violet escape, but was unable to do so herself. The two girls were separated after Violet's desperate attempt to catch up to the cart before falling behind it. At the age of five, she was all alone. Wandering for a into the forest by her now non existant home, Violet found herself feeling as though the forest itself was protecting her. She was able to eat and find water with no help, and soon was able to find her way out of the other side of the woods, in order to attempt to find help.

As she continued to wander down a path, she soon found herself at the entrance of Magnolia. Tiny and determined, Violet ran to the first person she saw and told them she needed help. They pointed her in the direction of a powerful Wizards' Guild called Fairy Tail. The kindly woman walked her towards the Guild, leading her inside, where she was introduced to the Guild Master, Makarov.

Growing Up: After telling Makarov that her sister had been taken by men in a cart, and her village burned down, Violet was given the option of staying at Fairy Tail. She agreed, wanting to become strong enough to protect herself, and her sister when Cosmos was returned to her. Still too young to learn magic, the little girl helped out around the Guild hall as much as possible, and spent time with another little girl who hung around the group of wizards, called Cana. Among these children, there was also the Master's grandson, Laxus, and a little girl named Nike.

Soon, more children began showing up at the guild hall. The hall itself became rowdy as little boys and girls wanting to master magic learned together, played together and even fought together in order to become stronger. A little girl by the name of Erza showed up. She was not a talkative girl and often stayed by herself. It was not long before Violet found herself trying to befriend her. A rivalry between Erza and another girl named Mirajane broke out, and of course, Violet took Erza's side. The little girl, Nike, took Mirajanes, and the four children would fight in the hall over the most ridiculous things. It was only when Nike and Violet were older that the two ended up having to work together on a job.
