A rare disorder causes Doro's brain to grow constantly. This not only leads to perfectly renewed and functional brain cells but also causes ongoing awful headaches and nosebleed. She learns to live ok with the aches though, and carries around quite an amount of tissues. It becomes a really disgusting scene when she has to sneeze... sometimes she even faints by this outburst of, well, "cerebral discard", but she quickly regenerates fro this. Unlike people with weak nerves who have a problem with seeing blood.
As a result of her disease, Doro is highly intelligent - however, dizziness, fainting and headaches prevent a high quality of work (also she is forgetful sometimes) which is why most of her research goes into trying to cure her brain disorder and not in work that pays for a living. For this reason, she lives in a tiny apartment and struggles with paying the rent.
Her character is pretty ordinary and usual despite being a quiet (but not shy!) person. People don't expect this but she can drink more alcohol than anybody else in her circle of friends. On these occasions, she starts to become moody, changing very fast from lovingall to pirate-like swearing and insulting and back within moments. At the next day she never has a hangover - another bonus of her disease haha.

Clothes: Comfortable clothing like big sweaters, ordinary jeans and sneakers. At work she likes to wear her laboratory coat which is much too big for her (although being the smallest they could find for her) and feels like a hiding place. It goes down to her ankles and she has to turn up the sleeves to her hands don't disappear in it ;)
She doesn't like wearing dresses or skirts. Even though, she loves the look and would like to wear them more often, but she thinks her legs look even shorter in a dress/skirt, that's why

Likes: Coffee, crimestories (as a kid she wanted to become an investigator), black currant vodka. Despite being a rather casual person she has a weak spot for perfumes.
Dislikes: Cats! (Doro thinks they are suspicious), but she has difficulties with other animals and little children, too;
