Blaine can really be a jerk if you get on his nerves. He acts as if he is fearless but under all that is just insecurity about being called weak. He is quite clueless about others' emotions and thoughts, though pretty transparent with his own. Because he is apathetic most of the time, even slight changes in his mood are perceptible. He is easily irritated with "incompetence" and mistakes because he is used to working fast and alone. Contrary to what others may think, he does not enjoy being alone, but is able to adapt to most situations.

His Job

Blaine is a ghost hunter. He is often hired for his proficiency, he is very thorough and finishes almost every job. He has occasional companions and doesn't mind the help, though, he will drop them without a second thought if they're being a dumbass, "I don't need you if you're not gonna hold your own". He is able to absorb the ghosts' souls, and uses them as energy to transform instead of using up his own. He isn't sure what happens to the ghosts when they're absorbed but they leave little ghost markings all over his body, and disappear once they are used up. He assumes they are set free from the mortal realm. He doesn't only do the job entirely out of necessity or to be helpful, he genuinely loves the thrill and has a hunger for power.
