he's been travelling since he was very young, making his way all over tamriel before finally settling in skyrim.

ultimately strives to do good but sometimes commits petty thievery, he likes shiny + special items (neutral good).

when he was younger, while travelling through the deserts of elsweyr he stumbled upon a den of vampires. this left him with a scar on his face and contracting sanguinare vampiris, which he could not cure soon enough. by the time he reached civilisation his thirst had grown significantly and he massacred the whole village before he could come to his senses. this memory haunts him and he deals with deep self hatred. he keeps his vampirism a secret to most people, which is easy as his fangs are usually mistaken for his regular khajiit teeth. he tries to feed on animals instead of humans whenever possible. if he has to feed on humans, he uses vampire's seduction instead of hurting them.

other trivia

when visiting solstheim, he meets a young argonian adult named kodias and they become unlikely friends. despite their different fighting styles and attitudes, they have high respect for each other. there are many things about kodias that worry him and westfall is always trying to encourage him to show empathy (basically just chill out, what is wrong with you). kodias regularly makes jokes based around westfall's age.

briefly served in harkon's court to harness his vampirism, although he did not agree with the court's ideals. he left for good after fighting against lord harkon with serana and kodias. he cured himself of the vampire lord ability but is still a vampire as the original disease he contracted has been in his body too long (idk ahehehe🙈).

if someone were point out how abnormally large his fangs are, his favorite cover up is to say he's a type of khajiit that are related to saber cats.

he is usually wearing some sort of hood/head covering to keep out of sunlight.

his fur became paled after his transformation, originally it was a mixture of warm browns, his irises pale yellow with full, round pupils. he can't remember what he originally looked like anymore.
