About

Luther was born in a lab, as a result of his father's experiments in creating viable human life. His mother was an unknown creature whose eggs were used to create babies in tubes until one of them actually managed to get born. Luther isn't even the first baby born this way, because his father wasn't satisfied with just a child. He wanted the child to be strong, powerful, a creature of his own design. If he wanted a human child, he would've gone out and snatched up a human wife, but that wasn't the point of this experiment. He was creating a new species, a weapon.

When Luther was born, he was surely perfect for his father, however his body was fragile and needed to be kept uneer watch 24/7. He spent a lot of his early years in a cryo-healing chamber or laid out upon Cadmar's operating table. Luther had many weaknesses as a child. His skin was fragile and delicate, often needing extra nourishment and rejuvination in the form of specialized baths, creams, and injections. He couldn't stand the sun, he burned and blistered easily, and even his eyes were weak to lights that were too bright or areas that were too warm. He would lose energy quickly, often collapsing at random, no warning signs, no nothing.

But despite all of that, his father, Cadmar, was willing to keep working on him, keep pushing him onwards in order to make him stronger.

Once Luther hit puberty, he began to stabilize. His hair grew out, his skin gained some color, his body wasn't cold all the time, his eyes became less sensitive. He was starting to become what Cadmar had always envisioned for him: a perfect little monster.

After he started to stablize, Cadmar turned his attention to a new monster he wanted to create. In simple words, a brother to Luther.

Luther was several decades old at this point, however his body was growing so slowly due to its ingrained longevity. Like Cadmar, Luther was built to live for centuries, if not longer.

And with figuring out how to function as a living being, he also began to devlope his personality, but even more importantly, his powers.

He became more and more helpful to his father, growing stronger and with Cadmar's steady hand, he grew loyal as well. Although, Luther had no point of reference for what a healthy family was meant to look like-- so the more unspeakable things done to him, they were normal in his eyes. Maybe even acts of affection.

Eventually, Leon was born. After many, many attempts, Cadmar had to dispose of the old batch of eggs and harvest a new one. He found it in his travels, from an asian creature, although Cadmar didn't allow Luther to be privy to all of the details.

Leon was born, and he was immediately something that Luther became obsessed with. Watching over carefully, holding closely, protecting fiercely. He constantly needed to be aware of Leon's condition, needed to be supervising his growth. If he wasn't so good at it, Cadmar might have found this trait to be particularly annoying. But when he wasn't digging around inside the new baby's body, trying to bolster its health and immunity, he was leaving baby Leon in Luther's dedicated care.

When Leon was still young enough to be held in one arm, Luther liked to rock him, gently, and sing songs to him. They were all songs he made up himself, since he never went to town to listen to any travelling bards, or asked his father to pick up any stray music sheets in his travels. The noise was always gentle and soft, instantly lulling Leon to a peaceful sleep.

As Leon grew older, he became more and more beautiful. As a child, he was like a little doll. Big, dark eyes, like the most precious black pearls. His hair was long and straight, a deep walnut brown. He was a weak child as well, however this time, Cadmar had no doubt that he would grow out of it like his brother, so while he continued to build him up, be wasn't as worried.

Once Leon was old enough to go outside without complications, Luther made sure to do just that. He would take little Leon out for long walks, to explore and see nature in peace. They lived in a deep, dark germanic forest, miles and miles away from any civilization. Cadmar preferred the quiteness of it.

Luther and Leon grew up attached at the hip, since they were all they had. Although Cadmar sent Luther on many missions and outtings, he was strictly forbidden from relationships, platonic or otherwise. That didn't stop him from having flings and affairs, especially once he was into his "adult" years, and started to have wondering thoughts during his missions.

Trigger Warning (discussion of incestual relationships) The end of the section will be marked like this "+++"

But due to the restrictions, Luther decided to look somewhere that he could constantly go. And that was his younger brother. He wasn't raised with the traditional view of family, and he also wasn't really human, so his morals did differ greatly from the average human. However, he knew of the taboo of falling in love with family, it was seen as disgusting and frowned upon greatly. Luther had seen many reasons for people feeling this way, but the biggest reason was that if they ever managed to concieve a child, said child would become deformed and suffer greatly. Down to their biology, humans weren't designed to inter-breed, unlike other species. If their gene pool became limited, their genetic makeup would eventually kill itself.

Based on this, humans crafted a morality around not sleeping with anyone genetically related to you. And that eventually transformed into not sleeping with people you were raised with in the same home, even if you were adopted or otherwise not blood related.

This posed a bit of a complication for Luther. Although he wasn't human, he interacted with plenty of them, and found himself readily adopting their nature, slowly becoming more of an individual, rather than a creature for Cadmar to control. So he started to adopt some of their morals as well, and before he developed his crush on Leon, he'd even somewhat adopted this moral as well.

And Leon could birth children as well. He was born with a functioning uterus, but Cadmar had let him decide how he'd like to be called. So if they were half-siblings, and Leon had a functioning uterus, it would be a bad idea for them to be intimate...

He looked a bit more into their genetic makeup and eventually came across the documents that made up the research around their birth. Apparently, Luther had come from a cluster of egg harvested from a female fae in the woodlands of Ireland. Along with that, his DNA was apparently specially crafted from multiple sources, altered to inherit specific traits and spiritual abilities. Cadmar's DNA had also been introduced, so that answered that question, Luther was definitely Cadmar's genetic descendant

But what of Leon? He searched longer and eventually found that as well. His mother was a japanese yokai called yuki-onna. A beautiful, but icy woman who would only stick around for the winter. He read about Leon's conception, seeing that again, his father had used test tubes and false wombs to grow Leon. However, when he looked for Cadmar's DNA, he couldn't find it in the mix of things. Luther wondered why he wouldn't include it, didn't he consider Leon his son as well?

He guessed it wasn't something he needed to question. After he was satisfied by the information he'd found, he put all the documents back and stopped searching. Whatever Cadmar had planned, he would find out sooner or later, if he looked or not. His father had made it a habit to include his sons in experiments without their consent before. It was normal at this point.

Even after finding out that the two of them weren't blood related, Luther still couldn't bring himself to do anything to Leon. His brother grew into quite a beauty as well. He was tall, but not too tall. Thin for the most part, but a bit round in the thighs and cheeks, making him look fairly soft and huggable. His long hair reached down to his waist, and had even grown darker over time. So dark that it only gave a soft brown gleam in the light. His almond shaped eyes were full of love and delicate beauty. Apparently, during the winter months, Leon's eyes became light and pure as ice, contrasting sharply with the deep black of the summer months.

It was clear after some time that they shared no genetic makeup. They could not look more different. Where Luther was fair skinned, Leon was dark. Luther had bright, ginger hair, Leon had dark hair. Luther was tall and robust, Leon was thin and delicate. They were like night and day.

However, despite deciding that he would not cross that boundary with Leon, their father had other plans.

They were sitting together in their shared living space one day when Cadmar had a pot of tea sent up to them. The servants that poured the tea were Cadmar's personal attendants, so they made sure to be respectful and drink it. There was a note attached to Luther's cup. it said "Don't hurt him." Before Luther could truly understand what that meant, he felt a rush of heat fill his body, clouding his thoughts. When he looked up over at Leon, he had a distant look on his face, his pupils blown wide and his body blushed completely red. Cadmar had drugged their cups, apparently, with an aphrodisac that was catered to their bodies.

Luther attempted to fight it, glancing around at the servants, but they had quickly vacated the room. He got up to chase after them, but felt his composure break once he was standing. The drug that Leon had been given must've made his sweet scent much stronger and more alluring, and Luther felt his controll suddenly snap.

All rational thought left his mind. He ripped the boys clothes off and did as his father wanted. The drug was potent, and it kept them going for several rounds.

After it was over, Luther felt as if he'd been hollowed out, left vacant and empty. He stared down at Leon, who has passed out almost immediately after the drug had worn off, completely exhausted. Luther connected the dots quickly. The reason Cadmar had left his DNA out of Leon was because he wanted to breedthem.

Luther fumed. After deciding to step away respectfully and keep looking at Leon as his brother, Cadmar had decided to cross that boundary for him anyways! In fact, he'd obviously been planning on building Luther a mate this entire time, not a brother.

Despite all the other abuse, Luther felt this was the first true time that Cadmar had done something truly traumatizing to him. He'd been drugged by his father before, but never with this kind of intent. He carefully picked up Leon and took him to a bathroom to get him cleaned up. The servants from earlier offered to clean Leon up for him, but he told them to step out of his way or meet their deaths, so they scrammed.

Near the end of the cleaning up, he was letting Leon soak in a medicinal bath. Both to combat any lingering side affects of the drug and for the abuse his body took during the whole thing. Leon finally blinked his eyes open, looking around blearily, before his gaze settled on Luther. He immediately jolted in surprise, and it looked as if even some fear crossed his features. Luther sighed, feeling like that expression had pierced his very heart. He never wanted Leon to be afraid of him. He only wanted to love and take care of him. It made the flames of bitter hatred for his father grow hotter.

Unfortunately, this wasn't the only time this happened. Leon didn't concieve the first time, so after a few months, Cadmar drugged them again, and even after the second time, Leon did not become pregnant. Cadmar decided to do an evaluation of Leon's reproductive system.

The proceedure was intrusive and unpleasant, but Leon was an obediant child, and did whatever his father asked of him. In the end, nothing seemed to be wrong, so he evaluated Luther's reproductive system as well. Luther was uncooperative, and went against his father any chance he could. Cadmar shrugged and ended up having to sedate him to do an evaluation.

Apparently, his sperm production was quite low. Having something to do with his mixed biology. Cadmar put him on a new monthly injection to try and fix the issue. Although, if that didn't work, he would probably just create something in his lab to alter Luther's genetics.

The third time Cadmar tried to drug them, Luther knew what he was doing and denied the drink. Leon followed suit and didn't drink it. He wasn't fond of this experiment either, he wished things could go back to normal, but Cadmar seemed determined.

After the failed attempt, Cadmar invited Luther back to his lab. He was there for his monthly injection, however when Cadmar injected him, he felt dizzy, then blacked out. He wasn't sure how long he was asleep, but when he woke finally, he felt... different. He was strapped to Cadmar's table, with his father leaning over him. Cadmar sighed.

"Why couldn't you just impregnate Leon like I wanted you to? I built you two this way so that you would want each other. But everything has become so convoluted." he rubbed his temple, as if a migraine was forming. "Now you've got it in your heads that you're brothers. I should've never let you mingle with humans. Their culture has tainted you both."

He let Luther free from the straps, and he immediately sat up, even though that sent the room spinning. He held his head, feeling like he might vomit. Cadmar casually handed him a bucket. "I finally decided to unlock pieces of your DNA that I think will be highly benefitial to you." he paused, then stepped away from the table where Luther sat. "You will learn to weild it in time, but for now I will handle your outbursts."

Luther felt a violent chill shoot through his veins. Control his outbursts? What did that mean? Did Cadmar finally turn him all the way into a monster? After he was properly freed, he decided that he would absolutely avoid Leon for the time being. He had a sickening suspicion that this new change would be one way for Cadmar to force them together once again. And after the injections, he wasn't sure if Leon would be so lucky this time.

However, after a few months, he found himself back at the house, seemingly alone. He'd heard that Cadmar was leaving on an expedition, so he wouldn't be home for several more months. And Leon... he simply hadn't heard from him since the day before Cadmar's surgery on him. He hoped he wouldn't run into Leon and that trigger something in him. He wasn't sure what Cadmar had done to him, but so far it had been dormant. He didn't experience any blackouts in his memory or anything.

However, the peace was short lasted. He went outside to the backyard to get some fresh air and saw that a garden had been built. It was tall and luscious, like an huge, beautiful maze. He traversed it for some time, eventually coming to the center of the garden, and he pushed some vines aside and entered a courtyard. Sitting there in the center was a quaint cottage. By the time he found this place, evening had fallen. The door to the cottage was cracked open and warm firelight spilled out. He approached cautiously, finding the entire thing quite bizarre. But he'd seen weirder. At least this didn't look dangerous.

He slowly pushed the door open, qincing at how it creaked, but nothing seemed to be alerted. Inside it was nice, homey, and warm, but there was no one in sight. He exhaled softly, but before he could relax, a person came out from one of the closed doors.

They were beautiful. Tall and thin with long, dark hair. Sun-kissed skin mostly covered by layered periwinkle and sheer white robes. Deep, sparkling onyx eyes landed carefully on him, their surprise reflected clearly, no emotion hidden or stowed away. Luther felt his entire body ache.

Leon was the most beautiful person he'd ever seen. Everytime he saw the man, he felt his heart warm incredibly, filled with love and adoration. The idea of harming a single hair on his head left him disgusted and shameful. He wished he didn't have to stay away, he wished he could just have a normal relationship with Leon. The thought reminded him of his burning hatred for his father.

"Luther, you're here." Leon said softly. His voice was light and melodical, like a cute little bluebird. Not too deep, not too high in pitch, just the perfect balance. It felt so nice against his ears.

"Leon, it's been so long since I've seen you." He greeted happily. "You're just as beautiful as ever." Leon blushed at the compliment, but then his face paled again.

"Ah, did father send you then?" he asked, trying to keep the tremble out of his voice, but didn't quite manage it. Luther's face also drained of color. He stumbled.

"N-no, of course not! why would you think that?" he asked. Leon stayed by his door, however, staying carefully away. "I didn't think you would be here. I simply haven't seen it before."

Leon gradually dragged his eyes away from Luther and glanced around, as if he's just remembered where they were. Then he looked even more concerned. "You shouldn't be here." his voice was icy.

"Huh?" Luther took a step forward, however, he saw a glint of something, and a breeze seemed to come out of nowhere and sweep through him. He stilled, his vision was growing dark. Leon looked fearful, and turned to leave, however as soon as he saw the man's back, Luther completely blacked out.

When he woke, he found himself in the forest. He was completely naked, and so was Leon who he found curled into his side. Leon looked rather battered, there was blood everywhere, his body covered in scratches and some rather large bite marks. He was breathing, but it was alarmingly shallow.

Luther panicked and ran home with Leon in his arms. He didn't even care that he was nude, the only people in the manor should be servants anyways. Once he was inside, he started to shout for help, that his brother needed medical attention immediately.

Hours later, Luther was standing guard at the door, cleaned up and dressed. Cadmar finally arrived back. Someone must have called him over. Luther immediately went into a rage and attacked him, shouting all kinds of obscenities. Cadmar was able to evade most of Luther's attacks, and eventually enough servants managed to restrain Luther so he couldn't continue his attempt on his father's life.

"Why did you have to do this to me? To him? We didn't want to be your breeding cattle, so you should've let it go! I almost killed him this time!" he screamed, his throat already raw. "You're destroying our relationship. If you don't stop, you'll never see us again!"

Cadmar looked a bit taken aback by the outburst. "Who are you to make demands?" he asked, but then went quiet. After a moment, he asked, "He's alright though, he has to be." Luther couldn't help but laugh cruelly.

"No thanks to you." he grit his teeth, pulling so harshly against the servants restraining them, that a few nearly toppled over. Cadmar pushed past Luther and entered the medicine room.

Leon was pale, covered in injuries, and displayed clear signs of rape. It seemed he fought back rather harshly, judging by the scrapes and bruises on Luther's body. However, his body had gone through too much trauma. There was no possibility that he could be pregnant. Cadmar was at a loss. He wanted this to work, he wanted Them to have a child the natural way. It was much easier than the convoluted science he used to grow these two imbeciles. However, it seemed Luther was much too powerful after he unlocked his DNA, and now Leon required refinements.

He decided he needed to keep Luther at bay while he worked on Leon, so he sent Luther out on many long missions that required immense travelling and undercover work. The process of unlocking Leon's genetic coding would be much more delicate work, since his genetic makeup wasn't as familiar as Luther's.

Luther spent months, years, decades away and undercover for his father. He didn't see Leon for a very long time, but he also knew it was for the best. He didn't want to ruin him any more than he already had. During his time away, he carefully learned more about his new affliction. How it was triggered, how it functioned, how to control it. It was difficult and painful work. He often killed during his black out periods, and would have to move towns or abandon projects. For a period of time, he even went so underground that even his father didn't know where he was.

In fact, a hundred yeards had passed in the blink of an eye, and eventually he wandered back home. His beast form was still very feral and wild, but it was tame enough for him to know that it wouldn't kill randomly, wouldn't hurt or defile without thought. He managed to hardwire it in his brain that he would only be intimate with a pre-assigned mate during his beast periods, else he would avoid it entirely.

Once he returned home, he discovered that his father had taken in a new child. The kid was quite young, not even a teenager. He was cute in a mousey way, obviously a little nerd who spent too much time by himself. It was clear that the young boy was enamored with Luther's father, which Luther knew could only end badly.

Despite the initial bad introduction, Ronny was a sweet kid. He seemed like he was genuinely curious about the world and was very, verylonely. He wormed his way into their family quite easily. Luther kept a fair bit of distance at first, but eventually grew closer as well, spending time with Ronny, taking him out on missions, etc. Ronny and Leon however, seemed to be heading down a different path in their relationship.

Luther could tell that they were falling for each other a bit. Over the years, they grew closer, and during a period where he was away, they apparently became partners. They were quite sneaky about it, however Luther knew Leon well, and could tell when he was in love.

Unfortunately, Cadmar had noticed as well. And his plot to force Luther and Leon together had mysteriously been discarded. Instead, he seemed to focus attention on Leon and Ronny. Luther could tell something bad was about to happen, but he wasn't sure what it was.

Leon and Cadmar disappeared into the lab for a few weeks all of a sudden. At that time, Luther distracted Ronny with missions and spending time with him, even though he was also quite suspicious. Ronny kept wanting to know what was going on, finding it weird that they were gone for so long. But Luther, even with all his hatred for his father, wouldn't dare interrupt him during a session. This was just how it was in their family. Sometimes Cadmar would spend weeks "working on them" in the lab. All he did during this time was lay down and pray Cadmar didn't turn him completely into a monster this time.

This time when Leon came out of the lab, he went directly into self-isolation. Cadmar didn't even notice it at first. He figured that Leon was just adjusting to his new body. Luther attempted to go in and see Leon, but he was barred entry. The only person he would let in was Ronny.

Eventually, he and Ronny came out together, and things returned to normal. Or... mostly normal. After a few months, Leon started acting strange. He pulled Luther aside and admitted that he was pregnant. And he'd already told Ronny. But they were both under sworn secrecy to keep it from Cadmar. Leon's plan was to run away on a mission and have his baby in secret, away from Cadmar's manipulative nature.

Luther was good at keeping secrets. This knowledge was kept close to the chest, and he even helped Leon sneak around and chose missions for him where he would be far away for long periods.

The only thing they hadn't expected, was Ronny being Cadmar's little messanger boy. Apparently he was telling Cadmar everything that Luther and Leon were doing for some time. When Leon found out, he exploded on Ronny, resulting in a huge fight where Leon threatened to leave without Ronny. Ronny panicked and went to Cadmar for help, which landed Leon in confinement.

Luther was furious, he cut all ties with Cadmar and Ronny, planning to take Leon and run as soon as he could. After a while, Leon gave birth to a baby boy. Almost immediately, he begged Luther to take him away, and Luther agreed. He took Leon and ran away without even saying goodbye to Ronny. Unfortunately, neither of them could take the newborn, so it was left behind.

The two of them went from place to place, moving around constantly to avoid detection. Eventually Leon healed completely, and they discovered that Cadmar had given Leon a similar foil to Luther, except Leon's was new and dangerous. Together, through trial and error, discovered the complexitites of this beast and over the course of a few years learned how to control it. This period really repaired their relationship a lot, especially their trust in each other.

But all good things come to an end and eventually Leon decided to bid Luther farewell after many years together. And then, Luther was alone again.

Luther began wandering aimlessly for a few years, looking for a perfect place to settle down and just simply live for the time being. Eventually he came upon an abandoned plantation home with many, many acres of land. It seemed some kind of violent riot or other type of fight had broken out. There were a dozen bodies, blood splashed up on the walls and forming large, dark circles on the ground where it had dried.

Luther sighed and started fixing the place up. Eventually, after months of hard world and restoration, he finally got it sparkling new. The building had 25 bedrooms, with huge ammenities like a ballroom, banquet hall and extended cellar. He decided to turn the home into a sort of halfway house to house people he meets in his travels who have no where to go. He holds sympathy for those lonely souls who are victims of abuse or negligence.

He eventually began doing his own type of research and "work". At the time he was living in north america, it was pre-civil war era, there was plenty of crime and organizations that took advantage of others and the land itself. Luther never really felt any remorse or regret as far as killing goes, so he found it easy to target random wealthy americans who dealth in human trafficking or even worse, magical black market sales. He befriended witches and magical native creatures and together they took down many organizations. By the time they'd weeded out plenty of trash, Luther was extremely wealthy from his exploits.

He took in as many people as he possibly could, forming a small family of wayward souls. He typically took in young humans, but also would take in anyone he found interesting, including demons and other magical creatures. He had plenty of room after all.

Eventually he built a secondary building on his property and decided to start a buisness. But what kind? He was extremely good in gather and distributing information, so he became an informant. He hired some of the people he took in to help him with this endeavor. As they built their business, he also decided he needed a cover business to display on the outside so that no one become suspicious of his actions and knowledge. What better front for an informant was a brothel? So the brothel was born.

Anyone who was invited to his home could work in the brothel for their own wages. If they didn't wish to work, they weren't forced, but the spending allowance was a big draw to working there. Of course, the actual prostitution work was a bit complicated. Luther decided to seek out people who were currently working in poor conditions at other brothels and offered them a better job at his. He would do anything in his power to protect them and keep them safe from more dangerous customers. Since he didn't really need the money from the brothel for himself, he always sided with his workers and decided they would only work for him if they truly wanted to.

One day, he was searching for new people to recruit in his business when he stumbled upon a beautiful woman. She was ragged and dirty, looking like she had been living on the street and moving constantly to get away from something. Luther saw it as a very familiar scene, and she even reminded him in some small way of Leon, so he immediately offered her a place at his home.

After cleaning her up and settling her in, he considered offering her a job as a prostitue. She was absolutely stunning after all, possibly the most beautiful person he'd ever encountered. She was soft and pink like a fresh peach, delicate like a precious flower, and her words were gentle and alluring. But even before he could utter the words, he stopped himself. If she were to enter that line of work, he was afraid he would become jealous; and so he selfishly said instead 'please make yourself at home. No need to work to thank me."

The other brothel members were curious as to why Luther hadn't offered her a position among them, so they decided to investigate. They quickly discovered that Luther had a bit of a crush on her and decided to tease him about it. They were bold, and knew him well, so it was easy to tease him. In his time running the brothel and halfway house, he'd slept with many of the prositutes and even some people he'd taken in. He was a loner by nature, however he greatly enjoyed the intimacy of sex and sleeping in the same bed together. He never forced anyone, but if they were interested in him, he'd allow it. His only rule was that he made sure everyone knew he wouldn't play favorites and he didn't keep one partner.

But after he met Theo, he slowly stopped sleeping with the others and decided to focus his sole attention on her. He was gentle at first, chatting her up and taking her places he thought she would like. And eventually spoiling her with gifts like food, clothes, and other things. She seemed to warm up to him little by little, very appreciative the whole time, but her background made it hard for her to trust him immediately. He understood and did his best to be accomidating to her.

When he finally wooed her to bed, it was like something unlocked in his heart and he felt like all the other relationships in his life fell greyscale and monotone compared to her beautiful smile and love. He was far from winning her heart, but he was making progress.

In the meantime, there was a group of people, cultists is what Luther's new family called them, trying to get into the plantation house and seemingly cause trouble. Luther had the main house guarded by a magical barrier that allowed the residence easy access, but barred strangers without permission from entering. The brothel also had a barrier, but guests were allowed to come and go as they pleased through the front door alone.
