• Followed by a trail of smoke that feels icy to the touch, the crystals attached to its body are also very cold.

Abene is secretive and skittish, avoiding others and going out of its way to avoid interacting. It has the ability to turn invisible, making it incredibly hard to track down or keep up with. It seems to have a motive to do good, as it will come out of hiding to help those in need as it deems necessary, and did so to take part in the great war-siding with the benevolent gods. It seems to have a bit of an ego, as if you insult it- it will probably respond with some mild annoyance, but further than that its personality is a bit of an enigma since it has no ability to speak and rarely expresses itself. It is a silent, mysterious figure with little to no interest in relating to or pursuing bonds with others which means it is very unlikely to reveal its motives under anything but the most dire and demanding of circumstances. 

It can clearly understand when others attempt to communicate with it, as it responds occasionally in kind, but expecting it to reply if what's being asked is of no personal interest to it is a bit of a lost cause. 

Abene is a magical creation created from the scales of a dragon and arcane crystals. It formed a will of its own, retaliating against its master and fleeing. It eventually found itself in the wild jungles of Vledon, where it still resides. It is extremely distrustful of anyone approaching it, as it seems to think it will be captured again.

During the great war, it becomes a valuable ally against demonkind, using its impenetrable crystal-like skin as a shield to lead the angelic charges against their foes. Following the war, the goddess bestows Abene with its ability to turn unseen so that it may live in peace at its leisure.

It hasn't been seen formally in civilizations since. Though, If you are attentive to the occasional rumors about Vledon, tales of a mysterious crystal horse fending off dangerous predators or saving people from certain deaths at the hands of the vicious jungles will sometimes find their way into the whispered chatters of the locals.
