An energetic and fun-loving girl always seen with a smile on her face, Sachi is always eager for fun and excitement. Suggestible, sociable and very friendly, Sachi’s personality makes her a moodmaker amongst the boys, yet tends to get loud and chatty (as noted by Doppo.) The female’s tendency to drag others into fun, as well as her energetic personality, can also come across as pushy to the others.  She is also known to  speak very casually, incorporating a lot of slang in her speeches, and referring to her friends by nicknames. Given how loud she is when expressing her emotions, she gets riled up easily when something goes wrong or when she’s expressing worry. The young girl also has a habit of making a lot of puns, many of which are not very funny to those around her.

Contrary to her gyaru appearance, Sachi is by no means the typical brash and school-skipping individual as many make it out to be. She is respectful in her own right; displaying a lot of maturity and responsibility, and is surprisingly domestic. She is normally the one to cancel out any disputes and try her best to ease up the situation, sometimes even becoming iron-fisted and scary in the process. This is what Ichiro and the others call “her drill sergeant mode.”

As much of a goofball as she is as well as with her childish sense of humor, Sachi is a kind, caring person who looks out for her friends. Given how her parents abandoned her in the past, she is sensitive about what she says to others, and always tries to give a helping hand with their problems. She is also down-to-earth and does not perceive herself as better than the others, especially the rappers. The young girl also makes it a habit to spread fun, optimism and joy to others in the reality they live in.

Her energy and fun-loving side mainly is a defense mechanism. Having been aware and subjected to the harsh realities ever since Chuhoku took over and her family abandoned her, she focuses on the “light” sides of the “darkness” – in other words being in denial of everything – the nature of the DRBs, her issues in regards to her family, and her negative emotions. This is mainly to keep herself sane and from getting hurt from all the realities surrounding her. She also expresses dislike of her former self, who had no interest in socializing and was pessimistic.

Paired with her denial is her unpredictability – None of her friends know what she’s gonna act, nor if she takes anything seriously, given how carefree she is and her clinging to her ideology of “focusing on the light aspects in the dark”. This makes it extremely challenging for them to help her if they don’t know what’s the root of her behavior, causing many misunderstandings and butting heads at times.

Her love for rapping is what would be called both genuine and a coping mechanism. Ever since she first saw  it from the Dirty Dawg, she found solace in it and realized how much she wanted to look as cool and happy as the rappers she saw. Rather than using it for a weapon as it was intended to be, she sees it as a tool of fun and joy (one of the lights in her “darkness”). She wanted to continue being happy with rapping, which is why she got into it, kept it up, and even joined in competition in an effort to feel the thrill that comes from rapping, using it as a performance for others,  and from winning a rap competition, eventually becoming ingrained in her. At the same time, Sachi firmly believes that she is nothing without her Hypnosis Microphone, as it was part of the reason why she started an optimistic outlook. It also shows her hidden desire of connections, wanting to be seen, heard, to be acknowledged- to rectify her lonesomeness, combined with her friendly and chatty attitude. More importantly, she didn’t want to remember the empty, hollow feeling she once felt before she knew about the Dirty Dawg.

Sachi soon learned how much of her coping mechanisms have done more harm than good to not only her mental state, but to her friends as well. Her denial and unpredictability traits that caused her to hurt her friends have done a number on her; leading her to rethink her coping mechanisms. She learns to accept both positive and negative sides of the reality, as well as open up about her feelings with her words more than forcefully pushing through them with her actions and optimism. Thanks to the influence of Division All Stars, Sachi works to improve her mental health, come to terms with her inner demons and especially acknowledge the true meaning of her passion , while still maintaining her fun loving, energetic, optimistic and friendly self.
